  1. The check engine light has been on since the mid '90's. I just now figured out how to pull the codes and I believe it turned up a code 45. Here is the video of the flashing. I didnt understand the description of the code at all, anyone else had it? Also I have been having trouble with the car running. I took of the IAC valve and cleaned the snot out of it with throttle body cleaner recommended by 86BRATMAN. I started it up after doing that and it still ran like crap after a few seconds. Next, I cleaned the tar out of the MAF. Here is the pics of what it looked like after cleaning: Is that what a normal MAF is suppose to look like inside? Here is the video of the end result: Does this seem like a normal running EJ22 to the rest of you all? Thanks for the help in trying to diagnose this irritating issue. Kyle.
  2. I had to do a double-take on the BRAT tailgate; I thought it was a reflection of the sunset, then I realized it was painted on.
  3. Very nice, the waterfall scene is my favorite.
  4. A simple search turned up this:
  5. Whats wrong with a front mount?
  6. Im familiar with that brand, they make toyota transmissions if I am correct. INA, the bearing company I work for sends them bearings all the time. http://www.aisindrive.com/
  7. I wasn't in the holiday spirit until I seen Chef_Tim's Santa outfit and his red WRX. "Merry Christmas, you filthy animal".
  8. PM's sent, anyone else?
  9. Went to a junkyard that is about 10 minutes from my apartment the other day. I found about 3 XT's 1 XT6, 1 84 GL-10 2WD coupe (I snagged the honeycomb grill for the brat) 91 Loyale sedan, SVX with all the windows beat out, 91 Legacy wagon 2WD, about an 03 Outback. I can get the number if anyone is interested
  10. Wouldn't waste the time or money to turbo a N/A EA82. Your best bet would be to go with a non-turbo EJ22.
  11. They have a sand blasting facility where the fiance works, been trying to talk them into letting me sand blast my other set of wheels there. Looks real good.
  12. The stock STi exhaust is about 6 inches too short for a N/A EJ22. No biggie, just gonna work something out next time I get a chance. Here is what my N/A Legacy sounds like without the midpipe. Enjoy.
  13. Wish I could just spend one day inside tinkering with a subaru motor. I have a pic on my old computer from where someone was doing timing belts on an EA82 and the previous owner wrote on the inside cover:"Poor Sucker".
  14. I have one about an 03 blue WRX with the BBS rally wheels all the time. Jess had one a few weeks ago that we went and bought a turbo BRAT.
  15. I put an AEM one on my Tacoma and couldn't tell a difference. Caused a check engine light when the oil built up on the MAF wires. Not going to install another.
  16. I plan on seeing if the dealer has one in stock when I go down there on Wednesday, I will upload some pics if they do.
  17. Thats the idea, Rick. I am not expecting too much performance out of a N/A EJ22. Will I get any boxer rumble out of it?
  18. Stock exhaust is rusted badly, and the STi exhaust is going to cost me nothing but time. Figured it would be worth a shot.
  19. I have access to an STi exhaust from the midpipe back as seen in attached photo. What is the probability that it will cooperate with my 91 Legacy? Already heard hangers are an issue and have access to some Kart Boy extended hangers.
  20. Just got done putting them on, used EA81 lugs off my BRAT and Hatch. Need to do some work to the girl: drivers side CV, passenger wheel bearing, back brake is dragging. Has a hell of a heater, Enjoy.
