Negative. But there's several 60's Elans down here. My friend Chris just met up with a handful of them and became aware of others all in this area thru a recent car show in New Canaan CT. Spoke to him last night to let him know I kicked the info over to him. Hopefully he takes me up on the offer where I pay the $40 and get to drive too. Chris has had his since around 1984 or so. Can we split time as 2 entrants or do we pay double? That way we both get track time and a chance to see who buys dinner that night. I'm hoping he calls back to confirm real soon so we make the pack of 70.

Whoa !! Sparky,there's a shop there in Columbia that has a small load of 70's 4WD rear exhaust. These are kind of long and bent,usually have a heatshield that wants to rip your fingers off when you handle it carelessly.....uhhh,would you be interested in picking a couple up,wrapping them together,slapping a label on them and shipping them to me? Cash,up front,of course.... The guy wants like $90 each to ship which is insane. I'm thinking the person that helps deserves at least $10 per unit plus gas and lunch....but thinking shipping should be more like $25 per unit. If open to consideration please contact me. If not,no biggie and enjoy Columbia. The State Troopers down there ....well,you've seen those movies,right? But their speeding tickets are reasonable.

Another item on our list to consider for batch production. I should have one in NOS form but its for my '74 sedan and its there to make a copy of if needed. One of our board members should be taking receipt of a large NOS load - yes that one in VA - and hopefully he is willing to let some of those items go. I'm going to guess that there's seals in that lot. I spoke with the seller and from my conversation I think that lot has a good amount of items NOT NORMALLY SEEN in the typical "former dealer stock". Infact I know this from the conversation but I hope it included rubber items like door seals and trunk gaskets.

Rather than the usual deal of finding a manufacturer this should be a project one of us could tackle ..... yes? Simple part. Find decent thickness material , make template , someone whip up a batch in their garage or basement,etc.. I'm thinking Earl might be inclined to work some magic. Yes?? Getting the older car folks together is a challenge. I'd love to join you guys sometime but can't commit to bringing a Brat untill I get my '79 going. You got wheelin' trails up there that won't get us busted? Don't forget we do random trail runs in south Jersey and we get a decent turn out for the Carlisle Import Show in May.

I guess all of you have been folowing the series this year. Mladin wrapped it up for Superbike....just gonig to see his last race,not sure why,and the other classes race on Saturday. We'll be camping in the Barrens or at another nearby location closer to the track. Friday night almost definitely we'll be IN the Barrens. Looking like the '78 will rough it one last time. :-\ Everyone hold hands and pray.

NOW the guy near Chicago gives up. We've heard that this one is not all that great. "taintor" - pardon that,now to your situation. I don't know if you have a 2 door there or what. If you do,then there's a guy here with all glass and some other parts that'll help you out. Not sure how crazy you want to go but you're not going to even come anywhere close to a true restoration so just have fun with it. I vote that you throw at least some money at it and take a stab....but that's because its your money and I'm an old school Subaru lover. - Post 360 that is. Good luck.

Going to NJMP in Millville. We'll be doing the cheapy run with camping and minimal lugage. Probably just my son and myself. We went to the Barrens a couple of weeks ago as a family get away. Had a great time but only slightly wheeled the Toyota Camry we rented. THis weekend we're hoping to leave early on Friday,get set up,do some wheeling if possible. Then Saturday should be all racetrack....we'll see what I feel like watching and paying for. The AMA has really taken a nosedive with their racing program. Not a pretty picture right now with the new contract. Anyhow, its the first time they're back up this way since they ditched Loudon so I'm going anyways. I'll try to post more but I'm on very limited computer use these days. Cheers!
