  1. EdRach has some that I've kind of wanted but not made the effort for yet.I keep thinking(or is it dreaming) that I'll find a nice set here.
  2. For EA82 cars maybe try getting an ashtray that you don't care about and modifying it.Cupholder will then slide in and out.
  3. You got a 40 ouncer in there too??? Actually it looks plenty cool.Needs a Ramones sticker though, maybe a Motorhead sticker too.
  4. Sure,I'll try to do that or they can make them to John Bloom and he'll rightfully take care of it.Even made out to "cash" works.
  5. Guys, be forewarned,I'd like to take up a collection for the guy on the west coast's family. All beans will be counted, sealed, and sent to Mudrat for donation.
  6. Electricity?Heater? I doubt hypothermia will set in if you have a tent and good sleeping bag.If we camp that's what we'll be doing. October is the best for sleeping outdoors. We camped at Cooperstown a couple years ago in late October and my wife and son were fine. For sure sleeping in the cargo area of your wagon will do you good.Wagon78 and I did that at Carlise. He's got a hatch and fit well enough with the seats folded. My wagon was less than spacious but provided nicely.Take the right milk and cookies before bed and you'll be all set.
  7. I'll check.....sounds like a $50 car now...:bday:
  8. http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?country=US&addtohistory=&address=&city=Rehoboth&state=MA&zipcode=&homesubmit=Get+Map What do you think Andrew??Meet me there and we'll attack at dawn?Toss the carcass into the Atlantic and be on our way... Someone said if the bellhousing swaps it'll work.....but I'd not want to waste time if it doesn't.......better ask my gurus.
  9. There's at least 97 gallons of water there so make due.... Sure EJ,I'll bring prizes.More doo dads and whatnots.
  10. Where in Mass.? I could drive up and snag it.I need a pushbutton 4WD automatic tranny right now.
  11. My '87 wagon runs pretty good except for a couple things. One is the flat spot or miss that occurs when I put my foot into it.Happens around 3200rpm and maybe a little higher sometimes. Feels like something cutting out.I haven't checked the distributor for any wobble yet.Infact,I haven't had time to even really go over this car. Other problem is high idle that won't knock down at all unless I drive for a while, shut it off for a little (stop for coffee,etc.).During the first 10 minutes os so if I do get the idle to knock down it only dips for a second and shoots back to 2100 or so.This will happen untill the car is well warmed up,then it acts just fine and runs well. Flat spot can occur at any time.Even when warmed up.It always seems to happen when I need to punch it a bit for passing, etc. Thanks for any help.
  12. Wait till you see the Skipper's "Bomb",not the car,the device.Smokescreens as dog doo smelly as they come.
  13. Tom,you ever sell that wagon of Rory's?? Sorry to intrude.
  14. Don't worry,if he doesn't have it yet he will soon.Is that a LeBlond lathe?Looks like high school shop to me too.
  15. Good to see you might make it.Convoy from the First Subaru Church of the Resurection if we get a few of us going. Wagon78??? WagonsOnly?? clantieri???? oobnuker??? Flash???
  16. Anyone able to give a decent account of what's there before we drive approximately 9 hours?? My wish list at this moment, what I'm able to scratch out of my head with a small apartment filled with 4 wild kids at the moment: Seriously sweet looking blue inner panels('87-89), Blue carpet(wagon '85 up), Wagon hatch struts, silly little wagon parts like the rear closer tabs that slide in the rear hatch jamb, other misc. Gimme a heads up whoever goes there next.If you print my list and check items off I'll buy you coffee AND a donut!!!Woohoo!!!
  17. Boz,we ALL have road/street tires.Only the local hatch guys use those mud paddles and we can't figure out why since it's 99% packed sand and they still get stuck. So IF you make it you'll need a front axle for a Brat??If true answer yes.....if not true answer just what in the Devil's backyard you need.I think I have EA81 axles in my place. I want a shrimp cocktail, lobster and good beer for lunch. My son will want chicken based items, like all kids,or a hamburger.Just kiddin'....see you there and we'll hook you up if you need it.If anyone has the tool for the axles please bring it along. All this just to get another guy out there.......Boz,we haven't even met you yet....you better be worth all this. Helpful household tip:Get her a gift certificate at a beauty/health place for a massage, mudbath,or whatever the hell them wimmenz like these days.As long as it doesn't include batteries you'll be welcome home after doing just about anything.
  18. Boz,what are you bringing? If I have an axle I'll bring one and swap it in before EJ is unstuck.Buy me and the kid lunch and you're hooked....provided I have the axle. Steve, you stud! Sounds like you're getting a car?RX ??? Hatch?? do tell... Dennis,I've totally blown you off because I've been working and overloaded with stuff to get done.Sorry bud.Let me know if I can wait till PB or if I should toss a check in the mail....Paypal...whatever.
  19. Good to hear Miles. Guys, don't be decieved by this thread, the real one for our event is the one where EJ and Dave and a few other keep annoying the readers.
  20. Sure Dennis, they want to try their first Pabst. We'll all meet at Mick's place in 2007,the tenth anniversary of the first USMB.If you guys do come east bring rustfree 70's cars loaded with parts. I'll start cooking........
  21. Gotta listen to the news.Good old AM radio and traffic reports.Take the Tappan Zee.Works better 99% of the time. I was thinking that we could make a little ride out of it too. There's a couple "No Winter Maint." roads not very far away.Get a little sideways, beat the suspension up,chase some deer. I'm not so sure I can make it to PB in December. EJ :brolleye:
