  1. You’re welcome. Figured you and other would enjoy that one. TWO clocks !! Same but different mount. Lol Earl has those early “Subaru” decals he reproduced. He is/was “pooparu” on here. You can catch him on the FB groups especially the Old School Subaru Group which I think he created. And again , I’m pretty sure that one is for 1972/73. And that wagon although not fully displayed is a Tailgate wagon , very rare and totally bit chin. As I find them I’ll do my best to post them up. I have too much of that stuff.

  3. Came across a 1973 accessories catalog but I am as usual having trouble getting an easy upload. Anybody want to accept them in an email etc and paste them here ? I’m not that old but apparently stupid enough that I can’t easily see how to reduce pics size on my I phone 8 or whatever it is.
  4. Not sure why this is adding the quote when I didn’t intend on it. But anyways , yeah , some of us old hardcores have the options catalogs etc etc etc In fact I am cleaning house of all sorts of items as well as new old stock and great used parts. Enjoy !
  5. No Levorg ! Those bastids !! Never forget the son of a @&$&@ sales bag when I walked into the showroom and asked about a Legacy wagon around that era mentioned above. That dummy was so dipped in his training he refused to acknowledge there were previously Legacy wagons. And naturally he was a tad snotty. Oh to be able to smack the $#|+ out of that punk !!! Sorry , just had to vent.
  6. There are factory service manuals out there online and physical copies as well.
  7. It won’t take long to get a thorough education on 1970’s Subarus. What you have is considered a Stage one car. In 1977 Subaru finished one body run and began a new one , hence Stage one 1977 and Stage two 1977. So along the way the previous era was declared stage one (1972-77) and then stage two (1977-79). And the first Brat is associated to stage two and runs up through 1981. 1982 begins a next gen for the Brat. 1980 begins a new gen for the cars. Laughable history - 1973 had 3 stages within that year. It’s own story. So the car you’re looking at being stage two definitely came with a 1600 You can use that engine and drivetrain in your car. They are similar in size and you might not even need the 1600 crossmember , but if the opportunity is there it wouldn’t hurt to have. Wheels are the same , brakes too.
  8. Hey Brian good to see your name up on the board again. I associate you with the white RX.
  9. Do a search here on this board and you may likely find the shippers we have used. I’ll be damned if I can recall the one I just used but I’ll try to find it. Ours went from Reno NV to Tempe AZ and it was reasonable, after shopping many, and they were excellent all around on time , respect for the vehicle , etc. If you do an online search don’t accept the first wave , and it’ll be a tidal wave , you’ll get folks pounding on your email door. What did you buy ?
  10. https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/pts/d/milford-vintage-subaru-parts-new-old/7213115897.html that’s me https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/pts/d/milford-1970s-subaru-nos-brat-coupe/7213119379.html that’s me too you can PM here or find me on eBay as mentioned in your other post. I have a major portion of your list.
  11. And there he is. Be sure to check my stuff on eBay as time goes on. Right now I’m too busy and holding off since the buyers are also holding off somewhat. “cashingmystuffin” on eBay. Yeah I don’t like eBay either but in general I have to be there. I have loads of new old stock. Also have lots of great used too.All pertaining to the 1970’s. Let Skylar take care of you for now and best of luck with it.
  12. I have all of that list. But I’m in CT. it’s been a real pain since one guy caused me to box everything up for him to purchase a huge lot. I just haven’t had any time to open boxes and get back to selling properly. also there’s a guy on one of the face dook groups who has the tail lights and some stuff but his prices were a bit high. Pretty sure he is here too. give me some time and I’ll see what I can put together. There’s at least two other guys asking about a front windshield and I’m still trying to make time to crate one up. So keep looking or be patient. I just don’t have a lot of spare time.
  13. Angled driver gets those three bolts/screws up by the windshield. Sort of amazed to see this thread. I don’t have any issue at all with gen one and also did gen two and first gen Legacy all with no issues as a hack user and abuser. Sorry , but to me those mentioned aren’t all that difficult. Until you split the heater box. Still not a horror show if you keep your mind to it and are orderly. I would run scared from a more contemporary Subaru dash for sure.
  14. Your bio reads well enough , thanks for that. 1990 2.2 , that’s the one you’re talking about , yes ? We currently still run three of those cars (90-94 Legacys). I’m a little behind you at 57. Let us know what they’re doing. Or maybe you did elsewhere and I haven’t seen it yet.
  15. Wondering if you took it to Subiworx in Tempe. Looks like it’s moved on.
  16. And grounding. All above and check the grounding for sure. I think Subaru3 had a post about this. Was a recall issue , and could cause fire ! We’ve just about all had this issue if you’ve owned these cars for any lengthy period of time. The lower two fuses are the most obvious sign. Do a search of archives , ‘cause I’m getting old and too many other things to worry about.
  17. Curious if you’re still a Justy owner. Good luck with your more contemporary car decisions. And welcome back. I think most of us are suffering somewhat. Best of luck with that as well.
  18. Didn’t see one today but I barely got into my stash. I’ll keep it in mind.
  19. Resistor pack ? It’s in the heater blower unit as I recall. Been a while but I think you can do it without raising the dashboard. Try a search of the archives. Good luck.
  20. How about a video of your engine bay ? Maybe we can locate the filter. Can you please read my previous post here and verify ?
  21. Is that really your location ? I have at least a couple of those transmissions in CT Hubs are going to be super hard to find - but maybe the next gen after also works ? 80-84
  22. Plan is to kill off our two FWD cars sooner than later. No set date. But I’m seeing what folks may need or even possible pass the cars along to someone. If you’re interested in these cars please send a private message and we’ll discuss. Would like to have both our old FWD cars off the books before the year is over but this could find itself going into spring. Really hoping that’s not the case. Cars: 1992 FWD five speed Leagcy L wagon , my daily pretty much since 2007. Running great. Has I think 345k now. 1992 FWD Automatic sedan Legacy L only has around 169k I think. Still under 200k for sure. Also runs great and is currently carting me around. Monkey wrench in the works would be if I pull one of the engines for a 2.2 swap into a sitting 96 Outback. So one of these cars may become just a roller. Nothing happening too soon. But given these FWD cars are becoming so rare I figured I’d give plenty of heads up. Although I’ve been hunting for a transmission for my five speed as of this moment it still drives great. Don’t really have any trans issue , other than it being so old. Bridgeport / Milford CT East coast.
  23. Is this a DL , with the elder external voltage regulator ? I know some of the early 80’s still carried the old style forward but as I know it typically the low end of the product line. If that’s the case I would investigate the alternator and voltage regulator which power the pump. By saying yours doesn’t have the fuel filter where shown in the picture , that may indicate this is a DL or STD (fleet type).
