Bolts for Oil Seperator Plate
puhi replied to mcnea001's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThe bolts are M6x1.0, not sure on the length but very short. My favorite bolts to use for the separator plate are oil pan bolts.

is the special "cam tool" really required for doing DOHC TURBO timing belt??
puhi replied to themoneypit's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXIf you take off the valve cover, there is a hex section on the cam you can put a wrench on for a counter hold when tightening and loosening the cam bolt. Line up the timing marks before removing the belt and the pistons are low in the block. If you move 1 cam at a time away from the marks, there won't be any interference.

95 legacy crank no start after timing belt/water pump repl.
puhi replied to Fubaru's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXMake sure the cam position sensor is plugged in. Another thing that can cause this is air in the fuel system. Key on and off a few times, before cranking.

Driver's side front tire develops a flat spot...
puhi replied to 86GLScooby's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThis could be play in the tie-rod ends. The outer ones are visible, and the inner ones are inside of the boots at the steering rack. You need to wiggle the wheels and look at these joints to see where the play is.

$40 MP3 Head Unit - Perfect Fit
I put one of these in recently. The buttons have a cheep feel, and there is no illumination dimmer. I'm using it with a 4 gig usb stick, haven't tried anything else. No distortion at max volume, but it could go a little louder. Good enough.

Test the thermostat. I had one fail and it gave me similar symptoms. Like Miles Fox said, oil thins out and shows lower pressure when it gets hot.
