NO MANUAL TRANSMISSION AT THE TIME THE SVX WAS MADE WAS STRONG ENOUGH TO HOLD UP TO THE EG33! the 4EAT auto works well as long as it is taken care of -

not being able to shift is due to adjuster nut backed off almost all the way to the end to adjust, pull out slack and tighten finger loose until it is where you want it slipping is clutch -

the intake noise is normal, both sucking and blowing, after getting rid of the air box fix the hood hole with an even bigger scoop the turbo is more for uphill cruising than quick acceleration for more fun, e85, makes boost QUICK LSD good for cornering in snow

don't expect any REAL power at those RPM ranges, you're basically lugging them! ea71 cruises @ 3,600 smooth @4k worthless beyond 5k http://jsae.jp/autotech/data_e/9-6e.html ea81 cruises @ 3,000 not sure where it's smooth @ worthless beyond 6k, produces good power around 3,400 ea81 performance is with ea82 intake and carb, runs good on e85 or e10, 21 mpg http://subaruavia.narod.ru/engine_diagram.html RAM engines will be happy to collect your $$$

the spacer is 25mm the bearings are kept apart by the housing itself -
