  1. 5 weeks? You got lots of time. You'll be happy with it when you get your drivers license back.. DOnt buckle under the pressure!
  2. Nice Lemme know how it works out. I will be rebuilding mine here sometime this summer/fall and I like the prices of that stuff. I wonder if they would make custom kits for us? Or find out if the disty comes with the timing package.
  3. if you want a turbo, buy a turbo motor. From what has been said on the board, its easier to just get a turbo'd motor. If you really want to go this route, The Scooby started a post sometime last week about puttin a turbo on his carbbed wagon. Theres good info there.. Check it out
  4. is that a weber or a hitachi? Did you have to do any modifying to make it all fit, or did it size up to the carb mouth?
  5. Heh, make sure you put new ujoints in the driveshaft. I drove for 3 weeks with RWD last summer when I snapped a front CV. Snapped ujoints 2 days after I fixed the front CV.
  6. Yes yes... it will happen. Subarus will take over the world...
  7. what the t-case mod does is basically makes the drive train like on a Chevy pickup still uses CV's up front. The car will drive with rear wheel drive, and then when you engage 4wd through the T-case, it becomes 4x4. T-case = No more front wheel drive
  8. I have a write up from someone on how to do the removal and tools and parts needed. PM me if you want the list. And if whoever sent me that list, will speak up, I'd like to add you as the author to it, so people dont think its mine... If it doesnt work that it hehe
  9. yup after watchin the subarubicon video, thats something that sticks in my head too about lifting my car that high Is there any way around it? Stainless steel stubs?
  10. thats awesome.. so when are you guys gonna come to alaska and help me start the birth of a few trashwagons up here?
  11. oh alright sounds good. Just thought I'd make sure
  12. I hear Daewoo has a death spike under the drivers seat. Something can happen in a accident and piece of metal breaks off and shoves through the seat
  13. Eric, just wondering if it was my dvd player, my copy of the dvd or just the video itself. Did you put some of the video captures as still frames and kept the audio going? Mine does it in like 15 spots throughout the movie
  14. I love hearing someone say "Automatic" when jon pulls up to an obstacle. I wonder what the car would do with a D/R 5 speed
  15. try higher octane gas. Backfire when shifting sounds like my car.. Pinch off the AIS system hoses and see if it stops
  16. I'm going to have to get a camera to document my first "big" project. Should be hilarious
  17. I like the extended splash guard idea to keep debris off the belts. Time to get a street sign and do some cutting.
  18. Got it in the mail today... AWESOME! Great footage. Eric, nice job putting the DVD together. I like that there is no music playing during the footage. hehe, hearing those axles snap reminds me of when I busted mine doing reverse burnouts on dry asphalt
  19. hondasucks either that oil pressure gauge doesnt work, or you got some SERIOUS Oil PSI problems
  20. pull the pipe off, find a wire feeder welder, turn the welder all the way down and goop that crack ****. Another possiblity is just break the pipe right there and get a piece of pipe that will slide over the outside of it, slide the patch pipe over it, and weld the ends in place or jb weld them and slap some c clamps on it
  21. Al - I'll take those N/A Timing belts if the other guy doesnt want them. I need a spare set. PM me if he doesnt take em, and I will get a money order in the mail ASAP
  22. yup I know what you mean calebz. I have 2 13 mm in my tool box because I had to get new bolts for the oil pan skid plate and thats the only size bolt head I could find that would match the standard metric threads. No 22 or 21 mm is needed for engine swap?
  23. noah - how much are they for a EA82?
  24. damn dude, that sucks. Reminds me of 4x4ing my GMC S-15.... Halfway back the rod knock started. I wasnt fortunate enough to make it home though. Stuck the rod through the block (left a hole the size of a lemon)
