gen 1 coupe seats into a gen one wagon?
All 77-79 Subaru front seat will interchange. Two differences.....the "GF hardtop" seats had a thinner cushion, mainly to lower to seat due to the low roofline. It still bolted in place like all the others. The BRATs had thinner seatbacks, so they would recline more in the limited space environment. Hope this helps. Todd

Quick brake question
Quick question: I have 2 master cylinders for Gen 1 vehicles. One is stamped 13/16 and the other 3/4. Both "look" identicle. Are these both interchangable on the car? Any profound reason why they would not each be able to be used interchangably? What would be inpacted by using 13/16 on a car with an original 3/4? Thanks!!!! Todd

Impreza rear drum brakes
SUBARU3 replied to SUBARU3's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThanks for all the feedback! I was just wondering if the rear drums on the newer cars lasted as ones as on the early ones. Here in TX , no salt!! Horray!! Heck, the late 70s lasted forever! I think mainly because they had "manual" adjusters and they rarely got adjusted. Both my 95 Impreza "squeak" when cold. They operate quietly when warm. Have 80K on one and 62K on the other. Hate to open it all up if they are fine. I have no braking issues with either and the cars stop perfectly. It's just the cold squeak! Todd

I get so tired of this kind of GREED in the auto repair industry. Those prices border on criminal. You should write their corporate and give them some of your thoughts! Todd

Need a peek at an old shock absorber.
Does anyone have a Gen 1 car , wagon or BRAT with the "ORIGINAL" rear shocks on it? They were made byTokico and have the Subaru stamp on them. It is on the top section of the shock. You can turn it with your had to locate the stampings. I need the part #s marked on the shocks. If you get a chance to look, I would appreciate knowing what is marked on the shock. Thanks! Todd

WRX wheels on 95 Impreza??
SUBARU3 replied to SUBARU3's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXHe has one, but it needs painted. He's afraid that he won't be able to get it to match. His red paint is a wee bit faded on the car. Not bad, but he feels the spoiler would stand out as too bright. Todd
