Subaru 4WD Sand Rail
hey sooby doo, rigth around where you live (Charlotte street I think... it's the first left coming out Knox Butte right after the S curves) Down there on the loop there is a Subaru powered dune buggy with Subaru running gear, the guy keeps it in his backyard but occasionally its sitting out front.

Stolen Subaru
ACtually, there IS a clutch interlock on EA81s, it's just not hooked up on the US models, unless the code for it in the computer has to do with the cruise control, but there is a code for the clutch switch...

Getting kinda of desperate for parts
If you need a 3AT to replace it with temporarily, Baja (Jason) has one. I have one too, but the one I have is 2WD... I *might* have the crossmember, I don't think I have the brackets though. I can dig in my shed and see.

2005 Legacy GT Fasten Seatbelt Idiot Removal
Hondasucks replied to brad21's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXIt's an easy fix. Save the cops from having to scrape you off the highway and WEAR YOUR SEATBELT Yes I am a little touchy on this, I had a friend that died because he wasnt' wearing his, so I am very very anal about it, and I have been known to pull over, or stop in the middle of traffic, to make ppl in my car put their belts on.

im about to be steamin....
I feel your pain brother. I have a friend who ends just about every car-describing sentence with "it's faster than your Subaru" and it really bugs me. And the people that are like "Oh, it's just a Subaru what's the big deal".. I usually fire back with "It's just a HONDA what's the big deal"... I can't wait to see what you have in the works!

I went through the shop today, I did see a couple of students working on like an 82 GL wagon (blue), and yeah it was an older guy driving that blue brat. I will be living on Ord street (1411 to be exact) I dunno where you live.. I'll be going to school during the day though so I prolly won't see ya @ school. Mike -- The Tires are mounted & balanced, was $55. I just hafta bring 'em up there to ya which I will do probably the weekend after we get back, so I'll plan on being up there to work on the brat sunday or monday.

well, made it to Laramie... ***PICS UP***
well Dad and I made it to Laramie, he had a meeting here wiht another company, so his work paid for everythign but my plane ticket out here! Today I went and saw where I'm going to be living, and I've been scouting around for Soobs. Saw a NOICE Brat, blue with T tops and a brushguard, looked REAL nice I got a pic of it, and I've seen an SVX with a WRX scoop, and a Turbowagon with no plates that looks like it's been sitting for a while.. very tempting.. Tomorrow is my tour at Wyoming Tech, and Tuesday I get to doogle around while my dad goes to his meeting, then we fly back to Albany.. I know there's at least one of you guys (LUVMYBRAT I think) in Laramie.... Wasn't you I saw in the Brat today was it? We even rented a Subie! It's an 04 Outback wagon, maroon, auto :-( I liek it but Dad thinks it's gutless but he's used to his Maxima... If Brat Dude gets this, I'll be on the 9AM tour and will prolly be wearing my USMB shirt.

Okay, kill me if u want to, Off-Subaru question
Hondasucks replied to jcniest5's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI don't know if this shared engine/transmission with the Dodge Intrepid, my girlfriend's mom has an 01 intrepid with a mitsu V6 in it, and although not problematic, they are a BIZZNITCH to pull the tranny on!

Hello. Please humor me.
you could also just go to a JY and find a good air shock.. Just use a bike pump with a pressure gauge and see if it will pump up. If so, extend the shock fully and apply silicone grease to the area where the bag sits (It rusts out and puncures the bag)

Oregon Peugeot Yard?
It's called Loops Auto Salvage, they're off Oakville Road between Corvallis and Albany.. Turn on Oakville Road north, and then take the first street on the left, and it's all the way down on the rigth at the end of the road. I don't have the # handy but I can get it.. Or if you are coming from albany, go down past West albany high school, and stay straight at the fork, and it's the first right just before you get to Highway 34 I forget the name of the road but I think it starts with an E. So where at in Albany are ya? I live up by the park in north albany..

From Japanese Oddities to Objects of Desire
2000GTs were perty cool, predecessor to the Celica Supra if I remember correctly.. 510s are worth $$$.. If it's in decent shape, fix it up, if it's not worth fixing up, part it out. For example, 68-69 "bullet" marker lights can fetch up to $100 for a complete set. 68s are the rarest, since they only made them for like 8 months before they switched to the 69 model year, which had some slight differences. One dead giveaway of a 68 is if it has a finned valve cover (Has 8 or 9 fins in the front, over the timing sprocket)

Engine Knock 1992 SVX 90k miles
Hondasucks replied to Bociba's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXdoes it do it under power but go away when you let off the throttle? could be a cracked flex plate. Also, does the noise increase in direct proportion to engine RPM, or does it seem to increase by half (if that is the case, it's in the valve train) Get a mechanics stethoscope, some of thsoe noises can be very deceiving!!!
