  1. Different model, but this ideas Might help you: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/129601-how-to-easily-test-an-ignition-module/ Kind Regards.
  2. Awesome! Don't forget to share photos of both radiators together, for comparison purposes. Kind Regards.
  3. I never needed to cut anything from them, but I obtained used springs from the Junk Yard... maybe you need to drive your subie Loaded, in order to let them settle... I bet that you'll Love the new way the Subie will handle, with a loaded rear... like never before. Kind Regards.
  4. As you can read on my Weber Swap Writeup, about the main fuel jets, I left the low (Primary) Stage with 140, and changed the High (Secondary) Stage to 162, and it works better with an accel superstock (Made in Usa) High Vibration 8140 ignition Coil, which has closer-to-stock impedances; and the little increase in voltage output, helps to burn the little increase in Gas. My "BumbleBeast" also does not have Choke on its Weber, and I only pump the gas pedal twice prior to Start it on cool mornings, and it start easy without touchin' the gas pedal; but our winter is warm, compared to the average USA Climates. Kind Regards.
  5. In my case, I welded closed all the unused vacuum ports... It doesn't look good but will never fail. Kind Regards.
  6. Nice Wagon! Are those the Temporary Use, 15" rims for Spare tires? The Complete information & photos on that Mod, could be found, here: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/106807-improved-shock-absorbers-and-spring-coils-on-loyales/ Kind Regards.
  7. If you want to Change it, instead of Fixing it, you must be aware of this: Almost any EA81 / EA82 \ EJ18 - EJ20 - EJ22 Starter will bolt right and work well. Main difference is if car is Automatic or Manual, and even those will swap... In case of doubt, take out yours and go with it for comparison purposes. Kind Regards.
  8. Sorry, I could not answer your Question, but bring here another: I've seen "GATES TCK299" but Never AC Delco TCK299 ~► http://www.amazon.com/Gates-TCK299-Timing-Belt-Component/dp/B000C2UL5U ~► http://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-TCK299-Timing-Belt/dp/B000C9S7S6 Could it be the Same? If it is made by Gates, it should be a Great Quality product, But I Don't know who made the AC Delco version. Kind Regards.
  9. I Bet he followed this Writeup for the Wiring: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/125754-easy-guide-on-five-steps-to-twin-electric-fans-swap/ Kind Regards.
  10. Yes, my Subaru "BumbleBeast" is an Early EA82 (1985 model) and Despite that it came from California, USA; (running to Honduras almost new, that year) it came with a single row radiator, that was never enough for the car. If the car was Gently driven, without A/C and not too much hill climbs, the temperature needle stayed right above the Mid Mark, which is where the Electric Fan (Auxiliary fan) started to spin... and almost kept spinning all day long. If the car was driven in several hill climbs without A/C, the temperature needle went up to 3/4, and if we add the A/C to the mix, the Needle went without mercy to the mere Top at "H" and even worse, it pointed to the Sky a couple of times on traffic jams... with time, the issue ended with blown headgaskets. So, I removed the original radiator and took it to one of the many local radiator shops, where a guy only used its measurements and main frame, to built a complete, brand new, custom fully metallic radiator in the old fashioned way: All Brass, not Aluminium. The double row radiator augmented the overall cooling system capability, from around half gallon, to a complete gallon, and solved forever the overheating issues. Since then, the temperature needle used to stay pegged around 1/4. But since I removed the mechanical fan, it stays around 1/3, despite that I run at higher RPM's due to the increased tire size, and do lots of hill climbs with the A/C, and the needle keeps around 1/3. The needle moves a little up, in traffic jams without A/C during hot weather days, right below the half mark the twin electric fans start, and spins for less than half minute to return it down... and it takes five minutes to raise the needle again on those circumstances. If I turn on the A/C, the temperature keeps Cool down at 1/3 due to the permanent fans, and in open roads without A/C, the electric fans never work... Kind Regards.
  11. I remember MudRat from the early years of USMB... He used to has his own web page, with a photo of him standing in the roof of a beige EA81 wagon, the hands wide up and the sun behind; and the legend: "If you Dream it, I Can Build it" as far as I Remember... ~► https://myspace.com/mudrat79/ ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/12163-mudrat79-cars/ ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/50599-i-hold-you-to-your-word-mudrat79 Kind Regards.

  13. Something that has helped to fight dieseling, is to do a Cleanup of the internals, pouring a Seafoam Can to the intake manifold, via vacuum hose. Kind Regards.
  14. In my Case, I has a 2" SJR Lift kit on the Front only, on my "BumbleBeast" and the 4Runner + Accord Setup on the Rear without adding a Lift kit there, and the car sits on Level and Handles Awesome; look for detailed info on the above posted link. Kind Regards.
