  1. Good Idea, Thanx! I Really want to Remove those old stud bolts from the Waterpump's Pulley and install there standard screws, but other idea is to grind them down. When I Asked if I could just Swap the Stud Bolts with Standard screws... I really Don't see why not, but I Found that they are 6 X 1.00 Pitch, no 1.25. The only thing I'm a little bit afraid is about the New Screws' deep size: Do you believe that if I install 6 X ¾ inch long Screws, will they Hit the Waterpump's back? ... How deep can I install screws there?
  2. Yes... I Love my Weberized EA82, I know it feels "UnderPowered" Sometimes but it seems like it runs with the odor of the Gasoline; and gotta Love the Boxer Rumble Sound thru the Weber!
  3. Also I Believe that to see Pictures of the Car sitting on level Ground plus Pictures of the Whole lift kit install, could be Helpful to determine if there's something missing or wrong. Kind Regards.
  4. I Kindly suggest you to check the off-road section: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=30 There are all your answers for that Questions. Kind Regards.
  5. Well, I found it! This is the Old original pigtailed Thermoswitch: This is the New one that I Had as Replacement, long years ago: This Pigtailed Thermoswitch has the Part Number: 83052GA041 and it has its Temperature stamped in Celcius Degrees, as we use in Latin-America: 92º C equals to 198º F The other Style: Has the Part Number: 83052GA040 and it has its Temperature stamped in Fahrenheit Degrees: 203º F equals to 95º C
  6. Gotta Love those Stomper Subarus!!! Real 4WD power! Do you Remember the Brat on the Simpson's TV series?
  7. This is how Both fans Looks Together: Here the Old Subaru one just needs its screws, but is in its original place.
  8. This is How I Bolted-on the New Slim electric fan: I used two thin pieces of metal plate (1/2" wide X 1/8" thick, one on the left side and one on the right side) between the radiator and the fan's mounts to act as a washer for the Screws and spacer for the fan at the same time.
  9. I Went to pick up my Repaired & Repainted Radiator today, yes it had a minor leak due to a minor hit done by the old pulley-driven fan, when it failed... Now it Looks like New!
  10. I Tested the New Slim Fan there, at the Radiatoir Shop... You can see the Original Subaru A/C fan, next to the New slim fan.
  11. When I took out the Honduran-Made double row Radiator, I Noticed that its paint was almost gone and had some scratches, as you can see below: This is how it looked like after being in its place for more than ten years of non-stopping hard work and it still worked fine, but I Took it to the Radiator Shop for Maintenance, so they could check for Leaks and repair if needed.
  12. My 1985 BumbleBeast came Running from California (USA) to my Country (Honduras) that year, My Familiy and I have Traveled All Across Central-America with it; Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa-Rica and Panama... Always Fully Loaded with 4 or 5 people & Baggage... Something interesting I've found on the EA82's is that the More they Run, the Better they Behave!!! Have you noticed that? Kind Regards.
  13. If you swap the Mirrors, please keep their Rubber Base for Me, I'll buy 'em from you. Kind Regards.
  14. Here, a Couple of Threads with Pics, of the... EA65 Coupe: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=75938 EA71 Coupe: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=50229 Kind Regards.
  15. The Local subaru dealer sold some of those Coupes in the 1980's era, I saw one with the Late (Fat Case) EA71. Yes, the Coupes for Latin america and asia came with 1.6L engines, the 1.8 was an option. Kind Regards.
  16. First of all, You'll Need the 14" Rims ... ... Peugeot (pug) are the usual, for the 4X140 Old-School subaru setup. After that, you won't need to "Play" with the Suspension, unless you want to put Really Big Tires... Then you'll need a Lift kit for your GL.
  17. Here's a Writeup about how to Swap the Stock Relays for Bosch Standard Relays, that includes their location with pictures: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=90403 Kind Regards.

  20. Thank You, I'm Glad that you Liked it ... ... Your Lifted EA81 wagon Looks Awesome! Regarding the Lengthening job to the Steering Shaft's linkage, this is exactly what I did: Because: However, then Gloyale posted this very interesting information: Taken from Here: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/153748-steering-extension-length-ratio-to-lift-block/ I edited this post because such information is worth to be Saved for Future References. Kind Regards.
