if theres no damage you should go and buy a lottery ticket its nearly 100% garanteed to do damage if they break on anything except the 2.2Lt engine So in reference to the eg33 engine a la svx are they the same as the ej22's? non interference? regard camo

Did you bleed the radiator when you refilled it ? the bleeder should be on the left side of the radiator at the top (looking from the front ) the are known for erratic behavoir if they arent bled. and your cap may be past its use by date.The temp gauge should not move once the car has warmed up, thats how i know something is wrong with mine if the gauge is up at all from the normal spot there is something a miss and i check why :-\

try the igintor its on the firewall in the centre of the car i had one fail and two plugs wern't firing :-\ or your coil pack ?regards camo

my ej22 redlines at 6500 and goes brarp brarp brarp at 6750 i would assume its a fuel cut?

Well that'd be the first place i'd look you learn something new everyday!

Check your igniter its on the firewall in the centre if its a legacy i had mine go and thats what it was for me. se if you can borrow one to try regards camo

maybe the idle cut off solenoid is dodgy that would make it not idle the wire could have come off or there is some crud in the system?

When i did mine i used cast iron rods and pre heated the centre it was originally in a 76 wagon running 13's and uni driveshafts, it was unstopable (almost got up a hill that was so steep it nearly wanted to tip over backwards ) it was then put into a 83 wagon and has broken an output stub axle, bear in mind the larger the tyres the more leverage they have on your shafts expect breakages:banghead: , so carry spares and you'll need to keep buying tyres , I did a set on the rear in ONE DAY ! (but i got up that hill!)

Can any one give an aftermarket part number for a front bearing on a 92 awd legacy(and approx cost) , also is there any trick to changing them ?

You will be going 2.5% slower than your indicated speed with the new tyres/wheels i've seen several outbacks with wrx wheels so i cant imagine you'll have any problems abs sensors dont go on the wheel they're on the hub, and we have outbacks here in OZ with 16's as std equipment regards camo

My understanding is you can turn the park lights on without turning the ign. on as most of us know the headlights dont come on unless the car ign. is on and thus lets you leave the car locked up in the dark with parkers on if need be. But its a pita if you accidentally switch it on while cleaning during the day :-\ then discover it later

Has anyone had trouble with the header pipe cracking under the turbo and has anyone found or know of places that make aftermarket headers ? regards Camo

My 2.2 Liberty Awd 5sp sedan does 18.11 over the qtr mile, btw i got hosed by my sons rx turbo its a bit heavier i think 1360 kilos without me in it:) its done 270 000 k's so its not as quick as a lower mileage one i suppose

do they go bad much? much my brothers is playing up a little and the dealer changed one for him and it is still a little sick so they think its another one gone off :-\ is there a aftermarket replacement for them? regards camo

yes they are running the car is smart, but the a/c can't tell if you are moving so they take the safe route and assume you're not.
