  1. looks repairable to me just needs a fender and a bonnet and a new tyre check the front suspension
  2. the IAC controls the idle, this is adjustable well its is on both my 92 models the iac can only adjust so far up and down so you can set its starting point
  3. We still have them here but they've evolved a little http://www.ford.com.au/servlet/ContentServer?cid=1137385392410&pagename=FOA%2FDFYPage%2FDefault1024&c=DFYPage
  4. My offroading liberty,5spd d/r has 300,000kms on it and as far as i can tell its original although its a little tired but its working ok atm
  5. i know they are shorter as well in the rear section but a welder and some pipe can fix anything
  6. my understanding of the hyd. clutches is that you can adjust the push rod under the dash if you need to and that will alter the pickup point and thay do work the opposite to the cable type they pull on the bearing not push cam
  7. but these do http://www.subaru-global.com/about/history/1989-001.html
  8. the 2.5lt puts out 115kw at the flywheel well here in oz they do, some guys here have modified ej20's that have 180kw at the wheels so 260 hp isnt much.
  9. but why? the ej22 is a much more reliable engine unless youre thinking of using a ej20 turbo that i can understand
  10. Make sure that is really the problem I spent a day checking my GT legacy for what i thought was a timing belt problem and it turned out to be a dodgey wire on the fuel pump:banghead: cam
  11. go here there is more info than you can poke a stick at!! http://www.rslibertyclub.org.au
  12. Fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump would be my guess the regulator is on the end of the fuel rail cam
  13. this sounds like a faulty fuel pressure regulator or a blocked filter to meregards camo
  14. one word is YES if your keen, and why do it because you can there is guy around here that has lifted a couple of vortexs and they look great as well as turning heads (people going what the f#% is that????) they were rare here anyway. i'm hoping my brother will sell me his cheap one day and i can do it and just a bit of trivia for you the only sold 249 SVX's here in australia total so they are a bit rare, but i'd still lift it camo
  15. Could it be the duty solenoid/ rear clutch pack, releasing ? and or are your tyres the same size front to rear ? maybe there is alittle windup that lets go when stopped? my edumacated guesses
  16. Yes it makes for lots of torque with the low range and the extra power of the turbo but the only downside is the reliability of the gearset i have a friend with a turbo EJ20 wagon with a dual range box and he has just rebuilt for the 3rd time as many months second gear has failed twice but hes getting better at fixing it i also have a EJ20T in a 92 liberty sedan with a dual range now, it used to be an auto but i got sick of fixing it. the auto that is. but i expect i'll have to play with the manual eventually as they just dont last as long as the proper turbo manual boxes. But thems the breaks regards camo
  17. We may use our left hand to change gears but we sit in the right hand side of the cars to drive = Right hand drive? and if you do a bit more research you'll find the change patern is the same as yours.I'm fairly certain the 5mt dual range for EJ22 is a final drive of 3.9 btw, well this is what mine has. camo
