to put the d/r tranny on a ea71 engine, you will need the fat case bell houing that comes on 81 brat i think? -
probly $80-120, depends what someone is willing to pay
-
this is perfectly normal, mine does the same thing
-
i have wagon steelies on mine to. painted them black and put some chrome trim rings on them, they look pretty sharp on there, but they will be gone soon and replaced with alloys:D

i need some help with my 88 dl
75subie replied to lucifer_1_child's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
unless its a hatchback, your engine is a ea82, and yes, a 88 turbo motor will bolt in but there is some electrical differences. is your motor carbed or spfi? there are some mods you can do on the stock motor to pull out some more power but it will never be a power house. Jon -
The Brat has a new home...
75subie replied to Caboobaroo's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
good luck you guys:) sounds like a match made in heaven:cool: so, Laura are you gonna leave the brat lowered or raise it back up to original height? -
i`ll call you if i get the cap. probly could somehow ship it, but you probly could do a homemade one if you really wanted to with some plywood, fiberglass, or sheetmetal.

Supreme price of a true collector '75 wagon?
75subie replied to moosens's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
i just emailed the guy with the nada page, high book is a 1/4 of his starting price!! http://www.nadaguides.com/uv/viewresults.aspx?LI=1-12-1-2031-0-0-0&Lnk=1&wSec=12&wPr=1&wPg=2032 -
i might be getting a camper top for you, but you would have to come up to NY to get it. if the 87 wheels are steel wagon wheels, they will fit, but alloys have a different offset.
-
looks pretty sweet:slobber: probly the cleanest i`ve ever seen:slobber:
-
the fenders are a pain to find, but i will keep an eye out for you. contact subieguy, he might have some.please post us some pics of your brat, i would like to see it.
-
Welcome aboard. what kind of shape is your brat in? any pics? i too live on the east coast and have a 78 brat. my bet is you just need a coil. how long has it been since it last ran? not much really goes wrong with the ea71s, its a solid motor.
-
yea boosted, i`m interested too:brow:
