  3. ahh, the old one day'r's anybody ever bondo/sand/prime/paint a car in one day?i have a couple times, just cars to turn over for a weekend profit. as long as you have everything you need in hand and the proper tools to lift the engine and tranny, you`ll be alright.

  5. nice score on the wagon. i would really like to see your brat when you get it going.
  6. nah, not me, i prefer to keep the prices down, and make it a cheap hobby. to me its alot more enjoyable when you don`t have to spend a fortune to do something you love.i hope it gets stuck with it, and has to sell it cheaper to a true enthusiast.
  7. did they even make an avalanche diesel???
  8. its guys like him that run up the prices for us. it was always nice to get the $500-1000 subes, now its tough to get anything decent for that much.
  9. man, Shady, you have the sweetest wagon i`ve ever seen, very nice work:D
  10. Hey Ben, sjr is making twin carb intakes as we speak, he will be offering them soon i think.
  11. you can get it in there, but motor, tranny mounts will be a pain in the arse unless you are a good welder, also wiring will be another pain in the arse.it would also be costly unless you don`t mind spending $5-10k on a complete drive train, with custom axles and a wrx rear diff.if you have the time and money, it would be an awesome project:)
  12. nice platform to make a speedracer #2, kindof pricy though: http://portland.craigslist.org/car/116940002.html
  13. something like this with a tonneau cover shouldn`t look too bad, plus gives it some down force:rolleyes: and deflects wind if you wish to carry a poor soul in the back. pic: http://photobucket.com/albums/d118/ruppenduro/?action=view&current=brat5500111.jpg took my cap like the one on your tan brat, and cut the front section off.
  14. subeman, that brat was in the marketplace this week on this site for $900:lol: i couldn`t afford shipping:-\ congrats skip!!
  15. i`ll be making my own cab level fiberglass shell next summer. going to frame it out with metal, wood, foam, then lay fiberglass on top.
  16. looks pretty sweet man. what are your plans for it? turbo:brow: lift:brow:
  17. diesels can`t even do 200rpm, its way tooo low. check your fuel filters. this should be fuel injected.
  18. hey man, how come you wouldn`t tell me your mods when i emailed you:confused: are you running fuel injection or carb?hi-flo exhaust?lsd?
  19. you can still buy the original system off ebay, i think the guy is still thier. i got mine for $65 brand new nos. it even had the original chrome tip:D
  20. whaa?? thats photochop:lol: looks really real
  21. the fuel pump in my 85 brat is noisy as hell, still seems to work fine. its been that way since i bought it 10k ago. the one in my 78 brat is mounted under the hood and is silent.
