75subie replied to Subieguy's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
thanks man:banana: i`ve been wanting one forever. let me know what i owe you. my zip is 12586. no rush, just when you have a chance. take care, Jon ps. Which wagon did you score?any pics? -
ahh, the old one day'r's anybody ever bondo/sand/prime/paint a car in one day?i have a couple times, just cars to turn over for a weekend profit. as long as you have everything you need in hand and the proper tools to lift the engine and tranny, you`ll be alright.

Supreme price of a true collector '75 wagon?
75subie replied to moosens's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
nah, not me, i prefer to keep the prices down, and make it a cheap hobby. to me its alot more enjoyable when you don`t have to spend a fortune to do something you love.i hope it gets stuck with it, and has to sell it cheaper to a true enthusiast. -
did they even make an avalanche diesel???

Supreme price of a true collector '75 wagon?
75subie replied to moosens's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
its guys like him that run up the prices for us. it was always nice to get the $500-1000 subes, now its tough to get anything decent for that much. -

Allied Armament Super Christmas Group buy
75subie replied to Shadyirishmen's topic in Products for your Subaru
man, Shady, you have the sweetest wagon i`ve ever seen, very nice work:D -
Hey Ben, sjr is making twin carb intakes as we speak, he will be offering them soon i think.
-
you can get it in there, but motor, tranny mounts will be a pain in the arse unless you are a good welder, also wiring will be another pain in the arse.it would also be costly unless you don`t mind spending $5-10k on a complete drive train, with custom axles and a wrx rear diff.if you have the time and money, it would be an awesome project:)

something like this with a tonneau cover shouldn`t look too bad, plus gives it some down force:rolleyes: and deflects wind if you wish to carry a poor soul in the back. pic: http://photobucket.com/albums/d118/ruppenduro/?action=view¤t=brat5500111.jpg took my cap like the one on your tan brat, and cut the front section off.

Barely holds Idle at about 200 RPM
75subie replied to JSCliff's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
diesels can`t even do 200rpm, its way tooo low. check your fuel filters. this should be fuel injected. -
hey man, how come you wouldn`t tell me your mods when i emailed you:confused: are you running fuel injection or carb?hi-flo exhaust?lsd?
-
