I don`t know Connie have you ever been up to the New Berlin NY area:lol: i pulled off up there to knock on this guys door about a car in his yard, and happened to notice a "trespassers will be shot" sign. needless to say i jumped back into the car pretty quickly. this was in the middle of no where off route 8. definatly alot of mountain men out there. John has never seemed like a redneck type to me. some of the red-neck-engineering is pretty cool tho.

man i love west coast cars:slobber: its worth the $600 to ship if you ask me. -
looks like an 84-87 civic hatch to me, but its kinda cool

crystal clear acrylic enamal is great stuff, definatly worth the trouble. make sure you wait for a nice sunny day to spray it. spray it in a shaded spot until you get a nice deep coat on, then move it into the hot sun to get the bake effect. works real well. looking good Connie!

just picked this thing up for $100 (that i don`t have lol:-\ )it was tough to pass up on tho. the guy just wanted it gone. not much rust, he gave me all its parts. heres a pic and a pic of a nice on i found on the net. its a austin mini moke btw. thinking about bringing it down to carlisle and trying to sell it to one of the mini guys. *sorry for the semi hijack, just felt like sharing some pix.

hey Paul i see you need some good rubber for the coupe.this is the brat i`ll be taking, but i`m going to be looking for some bigger wheels/tires once i lift it. maybe we can work out a trade on these calamasters for your pugs? the tires are exellent. the guy put them on right before he drove over from oregon, and they have very few miles since then.

been kicking myself for selling it, but i got pretty good money for it. had it shipped from WA state. it was a plane jane hatch, i added a few things to it (mudflaps, spoiler, wheels, buffed it out, brightened the bumpers). what a cool car it was. :-\ -

yeah, its got a wind deflector like this..... -
when i used to work on motorcycles i'd do the torch method with brillo pads to strip the paint/grease off. works great
-
its a great tool for removing tough stuff. similar to a wire wheel, but works better and has wider wheels. might be able to use a torch on it as well and burn it off. then wipe with brillo pad.

a crud thug might work the best. it'll take a while tho:-\ maybe a chemical will get it out

yeah i saw that white wagon on there. nice score for $50 -
looks great and clean, but i agree she needs some bling. throw on a black pin stripe and some chrome trim rings/center caps on those wheels. that'd dress it up nice.
