86ruguy replied to 89Ru's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
The Cv Shaft Is An Interference Fit In The Bearing...meaning It Doesn't Just Slip Out. You Are Prob Going To Have To Replace The Bearings As I Did On My 86 Wagon. Just Keep This In Mind. Dave -

my 86 was blowin smoke like that and i used some block sealer. if you use it right it will seal the crack in the exhaust port and not smoke. i did this to mine about 30,000 miles ago and now i just check the oil every now and then. mine will roast em in fisrt and second:headbang: make sure that you use like copper seal or something like it and follow the directions on the bottle or it won't work. -

Remote tailgate release on ea-82 wgns?
86ruguy replied to starkiller's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
my 86 wagon has the lever on the floor by the driver's seat for the fuel door release and the little picture says if you push down it is supposed to open the hatch...but it does not...i suspect there is no cable for it yet. -
the carbed ea82's have an anti-backfire valve on the inside of the passenger fender...mine hasn't worked since i bought my car and it pops on deceleration
