  1. The intake is CAST aluminum with the water and intake passages in the same unit you can weld the outside and it would be back in one peice BUT you have no way to weld the inside wall between the water and air passage. Rob.
  2. lol weird im robbie by the way i got the car then the guy i got it from (land lord) i think he was a duche anywho lost conection with him and then it went to bills. Rob
  3. UPDATE ON MY TRANS and a bit weird at that pushed my car out of the driveway to move it went around the block and for gits and shiggles i put it in reverse low and behold the car went backwards... ? WTF drove it around worked fine all day but i go out to the car thismorning fire it up put it in reverse and the damn thing wont move but after i drive it for a bout 5 min. shure as ************ it works im at a loss its a Turbo 3.7 5sp SR 4x4 trans. anyone had this happen? Rob.
  4. i think the xt67 axles are the same but they will not swap into your ea81 they are to long the ea81 axles are shorter. with the turbo tranny you will need custome axles. Rob
  5. If you have the money to buy one of those you should have enough dough to get some fat hankook snowtires on steelies or rally wheels. Rob
  6. I think if you ever get to meet brian you will retract that statement... LOL ROFL Looking sweet Brian are we going to finish this one Rob.
  7. I should be able to go this year just got a new job and my car will be lifted and welded with a D/R oh and its got an EJ..... Rob.
  8. i would talk to bill (the beast i drive) IIRC he is looking for a rig to use to build new gen lifts.
  9. even if the belt is popped or the crank pully came off the nubs for the sensor are on the back of the timing belt gear so it should work anyways. Rob
  10. i have heard it called a spark unit idk if thats what they call it but most of the time i hear ignitor best bet would be go to a JY and pull one pop it in see if it works.
  11. oohh very nice good job finding one from a dirt state low to no rust. Rob
  12. Hmmm well if its NOT the coil and you replaced the crank angle sensor thats the one on the FRONT of the motor the one on the Rear next to the bell housing is the knock sensor and there is a cam sensor on the drivers side cam case IIRC that runs the fule. I dont think the MAF really has much to do with spark the only thing i can think it might be is a bad conection between the Crank angle sensor and the harness. Rob
  13. when my ej swapped coupe stopped getting spark it was the coil pack strange thing is the engine is out of a 1996 impreza if you have an DVM,DOM there is a way to check it i think if you end up needing one i have a feew good ones every time i can i pull them from yards good part to have for spare. Rob
  14. Rim rock lake is a long was from the fair grounds like the other side of white pass. just seems kinda far to go wheeling on a 3 day show. I plan on taking it easy this year do more hanging out than driving last year i popped my ej altho it was a junk yard motor... I will be there in the Gen 3 brat should have a 6 inch lift and good tires by then maby i will win something haha. Rob.
  15. yeah i have been out on the GL500 doing most of my running around i will check it out with the tape mesure when im free. Rob
  16. Buy an american v8 car pull the body off drop the suby one on. im all for subaru but they belong on the rally track or the trails not the strip. Rob
  17. Drove it home 1 week ago today its a 1985 Chevy sprint,Suzuki, swift, firefly, subaru justy, geo, pontiac firefly ect you get the idea it was the years of the mini car 3 cylinder 1.0 lieter of fury engine pumping out 40-45 MPG Got it for free from a high school buddy he had no clue what was wrong with it checked the water none checked the oil good it smoked a little bit when fired up i filled it with water and soon found chocolate milk flowing through the rad. what could i hope for it was free Melissa loves it so i told her if she pays for the parts we will do the work she actually does more than hand me tools . got the parts here on Tuesday had good weather Wednesday and then its been crappy. should be done by monday here is a pic. Rob.
  18. Front tires are brand new and balanced its not pulling to one side more than the other it wanders ~~~~ <like that if i dont keep it straight. the chevy dealership does a free alignment check i think i will have it looked at. ugg Rob.
  19. The car wants to wander all over the road like you constantly need to have your hands on the wheel to keep it going straight. Ok so it's an ea82 car but it has a Legacy 2.2 the Power steering rack has been replaced with a known good one even put new boots on it then refilled with fluid the lower ball joint are good on both sides and tie rods are good on both sides. The only other thing i can think of is the front wheel bearings are going bad but when the front end is off the ground i cannot get any movement out of either side the wheels spin ok but other than that nothing feels loose. What could it be? Any info helps thanks Rob.
