  1. on my swap i just bolted the EJ Y pipe up and had a friend weld up a mufler an a side dump out by the rear wheel my y pipe went up perfect wit ha little room to spair but i removed all the heat sheilds they rattled on the donner car so i was not having that.
  2. I thought i was bad... so you have a 1988 GL10 that someone swapped in a legacy transmission? IIRC the RX awd is D/R 3.7 with diff lock or S/R 3.7 no diff lock im pretty shure that was the only options but you dont have an RX so eather you have... A. single range 3.7 (NOT AWD) OR B. somone put a legacy AWD trans in. if you do have the lego trans you are half way to the ej swap because someone already used an adapter plate haha . I'm shure if i am mistaken someone will help out but thats my understanding. Rob.
  3. well wrapping up a few small details on the Gen3 brat in progress and the camper so far so good ready to roll on friday.
  4. For the price of what he might want for that motor you can put an EJ in your car. Total spent on my car for JUST the engine swap 400.00 i traded for most of the stuff but for fair value i did the harness myself just copying a friends and everything els is gravy engine prety much bolts right in with the adapter and flywheel you get it to mate to the tranny but engine mount holes are the same. im just saying a 2.2 will blow the doors off most ea82 turbos ( I SAID MOST) right out of the box and will live to tell the tail the turbo might not be so lucky haha. Rob. PS yes no ofence to any one with or related to someone with the disability and thank you for being polite about it and even jokeing along Rob...
  5. how much you want to bet he makes us wait to see it at the show Rob.
  6. i have the same problem in my EJ swapped coupe but it wont always dop it just once or twice every other day if you get any leads it would be helpful and i would do the same im glad to know im not hte only one. thanks Rob.
  7. the ea82 turbo is the ea82 engine with autism... and boom gose the dynamite:grin:
  8. definatly go with a Leg rad when you do an EJ swap it takes a little bit of work to get it to fit but in the end its what the engine came with and it workes fine so why mess with it right . Rob
  9. my 2.2 was making a noise like that turned out to be the PS pump went out it had alot of shaft play
  10. you are better off doing an EJ swap ea82Ts SUCK and the 2.2 has more power and more options for improvement right out of the box. my 0.02 Rob.

  19. i actualy did my front breaks befor i left for the coast so breaks worked prety good as long as i did not mash on them but most of the time it was a combo of compression and normal breaking but both worked great.
  20. dave on the left justin (woogy) on right getting ou of auburn outside cle elum Trip was a success was good to get out of town the EJ had plenty of power with the 3.7 turbo Transmission no lo range pulled snoqualmie pass in 3rd gear at 52 MPH was great got a lot of looks an thumbs up from truckers EJ swap is by far the best swap i have ever done. Total trip around 400 miles burned 18 gallons of fuel estemated mileage around 25mpg i think that is pretty good for hauling an empty trailer half the time and a 4x4 station wagon the other half. Thanks for looking Rob.
