  1. I've personally seen one in a 97 brighton, it was obd2 and the egr was in the same spot as an ej22. I believe that 97 was the last year for the motor stateside.
  2. I'm pretty sure the pump mechanism could be flipped over and then it woul make it oump back into the passages correctly.
  3. They are swappable, but you're gonna drop your compression ratio throught the floor... http://wac.addr.com/auto/obs/turbo/ejcalcs.html You'd also be best off buying the head gaskets from cometic, they've got them made for putting 2.5 heads on a 2.2 block
  4. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isuzu_Aska According to this its a rebadged legacy. So I'd say they would interchange.
  5. I should have clarified my statement. I meant with the ej knuckle it would workfine.
  6. Ej18 and EJ20 rods are interchangable, not the pistons though. And you could make a turbo'd ej18. I know of someone on here doing it right now.
  7. I think the only twin pot's that will allow 15's are from the 91-94 turbo legacy, and possibly the outback and early gt's. The rear can be done, either by buying a kit from these guys http://www.crossbredperformance.com Or by extensive modification. But its costly either way for the rear.
  8. Aren't the tach's on wrx's in the meddle of the cluster?
  9. If you read carefully on the Crossbred site. You have to send them another set of backing plates as core. And the hubs are special machined parts to still use the ea axle. And yes, the e-brake parts on the legacy do mount to the backing plate. So no loss of ebarke needed.
  10. They will fit the xt-6 just fine. For the loyale you'll have to do the normal 5-lug conversion mods.
  11. Wow, there is a ferrari parked on your street...LOL
  12. You may be able to work with the man selling it. I've pm with him a few times, he seems to be a nice fellow.
  13. I'd recommend at least every once in a while "blowing" out the motor. You won't hurt the thing by getting up to red line. As 777 said its there for a reason.
  14. Does the brat have a/c? And does it only light up the lights when the pedal is fully depressed? If so, check for a short on the switch at the gas pedal.
  15. ^^^ Good point...
  16. You'll not hear any arguement from me...
  17. After reading this I thought I'd verify... http://www.cars101.com/subaru/impreza/impreza2003.html Just before half page it lists the WRX final drive as 3.90. It doesn't make mention of the reduction that we all know is there at the rear. And to confuse you more... http://www.cars101.com/subaru/impreza/wrxsti2007.html This page for the 07's says the wrx final drive is 3.0:1 and the STi is front 3.90, center 1.1:1, rear 3.545.
  18. Good to know that Will. This sounds like it should be a good running little beast.
  19. I'd do a little checking about the 03 wrx tranny. Everything I've read ahs said they had a 3.90 front final. And after the 06 year they switched to a 3.70.
  20. Are you sure it is actually the gear and not the cable for speedo itself. I've had the do some funky stuff when the speedo is going bad.
  21. Looks like the whipper snappers have the farts out numbered, lol. Thanks for doin that Mick.
  22. As far as I know the heads are the same between the two. I've never heard otherwise.
  23. Awesome stuff man.... BTW thats a huge banana
  24. I would assume it would, I've changed ball joints by the jack method and it compresses the spring. When I changed out the struts on them. I'd leave the ball joint in, remove the strut from the knuckle, and disconnect the sway bar on that side to let it drop the lca more, bolt the strut to the tower and work it into the hole on the knuckle.
