  1. Is the limit reached yet?
  2. CAn you list the specs for the ej22 street grind cams please.
  3. IIRC an ea81 shaft will need to be lengthened about 4 inches. I'll have to check back on in my notebook to see exactly what it was.
  4. Post up the PN's, I've got the dealer parts catalog for the brat/hatchback I can sift through it's index and see if its for them.
  5. He's looking for opinions, I gave mine. Is that not fair. I wouldn't give $1000 for something I am going to have to put a lot of work into. Keep in mind at this point there is no mention of mileage, condition, or how long it has been sitting. And no telling what else could be found wrong with it once a motor is installed. Furthermore, anybody who believes the valve of a car can be determined by a book needs to be fair to themselves. "Book value" is what dealers want you to believe a car is worth, so they can maximize profits.
  6. You'll be fine with the stock open ended lugs, but once salt and stuff gets to them they can be a pain to get off.... Ask me how I know... You can use the closed end accorn style off the parts cars you have, there should be enough between the two of them to gather 20 and still have the wheels held on.
  7. Maybe you missed these as well. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=75074 http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showpost.php?p=592661&postcount=7
  8. Looks good man. I"m glad someone finally did a pictoral post on the matter. I was just too lazy, lol.
  9. I'll have to say that in my area, and for my uses, that my mom's 98 legacy and my old 86 brat have a dead even rating. I prefer the awd side of things because I'm not into off-roading and I rarely use 4wd unless its in a good thick snow or the driveway at one of my friends houses when its muddy. Either way, you can't go wrong with a subaru awd setup. One test my mom's car has passed with flying colors is a dead stop 60 degree ice covered hill. It didn't slip a wheel, just pulled out and went.
  10. My personal favorites are the tire carrier, and the s/c piping setup. I like the idea of mounting the maf to the IM and running the tb elsewhere. Looking good, I'm interested in what else you've done with it.
  11. You can find a lot of guys selling thier stock turbo/up/down pipes if you look around, and switch off to the engine crossmember from a 91-94 turbo legacy. Then all you've got to worry about is tuning, and that sort of thing. Well that and single port heads.
  12. The 06 2.5i legacy we had got about 28-31 mixed driving, so it should pick up for you.
  13. Very normal, I've actually never owned an a/c equiped car that didn't do this.
  14. What exactly is a grip? Clean looking Brat though. Haven't seen one that nice here since 1987.
  15. I mean really... That is bad rump roast... Whats the deal with the push button ignition? Would you leave a freaking "rice cop" note on an Infinity G35 sedan? Didn't think so. I'm sorry Subaru's new design doesn't meet your standards. But think back to 1989 when the legacy first came out. It was so "uncharacteristic" of Subaru for that time. They went more mainstream then and it worked, big time. After seeing and driving the new models in person, if I ever feel the need to buy a new Subaru again it will be a 08+ Impreza.
  16. I'm gonna be under the hood of a friend's civic this weekend. So looking like I won't make this one either
  17. I'm back... I hate dial up, because the phone lines in this area are so old that I could walk to the store and back (2 mile round trip) in the same amount of time as it takes for a page with three pictures to load here. Dalton, top hats are on the way, should have actually been there by now. Sent them through the post office after the trouble we had with UPS on those bolts.
