  1. Check your motor and transmission mounts. True torque steer is because of un equal length axles. And we don't have that problem. Shannon
  2. Banks lend money. Ad states its on a car lot for sale. Might be worth finding out which one and seeing if they can finance you.
  3. One day, or night when you are bored you can send them to my email, in my profile. And I'll post them up for you. I've got cable so it won't really take too long to get them sized right.
  4. You're oil presure sounds about right for the ea82. So the pump isn't the problem. Are you absolutely sure the cel is for the pcv, have you check the codes. I don't recall there being a dedicated pcv code. But I could be wrong. Either way replacing the valve would be a good first step.
  5. Hey now... Taunting of my buddy will not be allowed.... We're working on finding her what she wants:grin: BTW... I'm just pickin with you. We need to see some pics of your car.
  6. There is an east coast subaru show???
  7. Been doing a little browsing. Here is some main bearings. http://www.prostreetonline.com/oem/wizard.asp?year=1988&make=SU&model=LOY-4WDT-001&category=A&part=Main+Bearing+Set
  8. Kingbobdole reported only using about 1.5 quarts of yellow and .5 quart of black on his xt6 paint job.
  9. Which rims do you have? The ea82 wagon wheels are known for being warp happy.
  10. Try soaking it down with a good quality penitrating oil, none of this wd-40/ liquid wrench voodoo water. Pb Blater, Sea Foam Deep Creap, or Kroyl. Then put a vice grip on it and see if you can budge it that way.
  11. I bought some deep creap last week but haven't got a chance to try it out on any big jobs just yet.
  12. 5SPD, 00 RS, cobb intake and exhaust, 4-pot brakes, 7000 http://saltlakecity.craigslist.org/car/384182490.html This one is lower miles, with at least 1000 worth of extra parts already on it.
  13. Using the ej struts is a challenge. You'll never get Legacy front struts up in there withough making about a 3-4 inch lift block. The top of the spring hits the car before it comes close. I tried a pair of impreza struts on the wagon that your bolts came from. They fit, I had to drill new holes for the top hats, and beat the snot out of the hole up there. And they rubbed when I would turn the wheel. Not to mention that the camber was \ / even with the adjuster as far straight I could get it. In order to use ej struts, you'd need to use a coilover setup, and it would be best to modify the ea81 tophats to fit the ej strut. And then use xt6 or modded ea82 lca's to keep the camber livable. The rear, for 5 lug, xt6 is the only reasonably priced option for brakes. And you are pretty much stuck with ea82 style struts. Which will give the car a rake like hell. To lower it all even you can use aftermarket coilovers just like you would do on the front. This will give you a good handling, good stopping experiance over all. Other supporting mods are needed like sway bars and such to maximize the drivin experiance. -I don't know jack about offroad. I was made for the twisties. Shannon
  14. I'll agree there too. But seeing a comment on another thread directed toward daeron. I'll forego my non subaru intake experiances...
  15. No its not rare. All 99 legacy's will have the 30th aniversary stuff on it. The limited is the top-o-the line model for 98 and 99. Nothing truely special except leather. And I think they may have gotten gold paint on the inside of the wheels spokes. I would say its probably worth that, but if it still has the original head gaskets, you know what to do...
  16. I'm going to publicly announce my candidancy for idiot of the day...
  17. Showoff... LOL, I was gonna use yours as an exanple till I saw that... I'm searching to find any proof I'm not crazy...
  18. The early er27 did anyways. I've seen them say both h6 and flat 6.
  19. The er27 from the xt6 has Flat-6 on the engine cover.
  20. You and me both. I always keep that book open when changing the plugs out. I'm clueless without it.
  21. I've seen weirder at the Bristol Dragway in TN. They had a big Pinks event there last weekend. Some kid got drunk and left his(more likely his mom's) 98-99 legacy parked where the auto-x was scheduled to be the next day. When Sunday came it hadn't been moved. track officials called a tow company to remove it, when they got their they realized it is an awd car. They didn't have a roll back operational. They brought another traditional two wheel tow truck out, hooked one to each end and moved it into the lower parking lot for safe keeping.
  22. I've found that a small chisel works extremely well to wedge into the crack in knuckle. Just be very carefull, they don't like it if you wedge too far. And yes, a good penatrating oil is a must. Don't bother with wd-40 or liquid wrench, you may as well squirt water on them. Would probably be in your best interest to loosen, but not fully remove the nut holding the ball joint to the lower control arm(19mm IIRC). Then remove the pinch bolt(14mm IIRC). Get your wdge of choise andstick it in there, lightly tap it so that tension is removed from the knuckle and the ball joint. You can use a floor jack and piece of 2X4 and jack up from under the hub to pull the joint from the knuckle. Then remove the castle nut from the threads. Clean up the part of the knuckle where the new joint will go, and clean out the threads for the pinch bolt. Insert new ball joint into lca and start the nut. Then position the knuckle on the top of the ball joint. Make sure it is straight in the hole. Use you floor jack and wood and jack from the lca untill the new joint is properly seated in the knuckle. Install pinch bolt, torque the castle bolt to spec, install cotter key. Put the wheel on, lower the car, and you are done.

Auto, 99, 4800 http://saltlakecity.craigslist.org/car/384615146.html auto, 98, 3600 http://saltlakecity.craigslist.org/car/385302278.html 5SPD, 00 RS, cobb intake and exhaust, 4-pot brakes, 7000 http://saltlakecity.craigslist.org/car/384182490.html 5spd awd 94, 2000 http://saltlakecity.craigslist.org/car/374038030.html Just a few of the cars listed on SLC Craigslist...
  24. First year wrx was 02. "The Bugeye". If you look around you can find them in the 5-7K range with high miles and probably not perfect tranny. They have a bad habit of breaking gears, and destroying synchros if the owner isn't careful with them. You can find early model impreza's for under 1k just about anywhere you look.
