  1. I'll second this response! (and add what do those come on??? would look very sexy on Winona)
  2. thanks for more pics!
  3. yep it should be as easy as any EJ swap......
  4. sounded wise-assed so I deleted it.
  5. okay what wheels are those? I like the way you did the red on them looks very cool!
  6. I have the intake pipe but it is missing the hoses. will that help you? I can look I may have some of these hoses laying in the carport (the intake pipe is yours if it will help you.)
  7. a grand is a decent estimate to do a proper set up for running more boost. but it's a little high. fuel pump (walbro) 125 wideband o2 about 300 if you can count/have clock you don't need a turbo timer accurate boost gauge 100 intercooler (cheap junk yard stuff works think mitsubishi starion or mazda 323 gtx) I got my GTX IC for 20 bucks. bpv(recommended) or BOV spend 150 will net you something nice (I like turbo XS RFL myself) manual boost controller 15 bucks make sure you have no codes and a clean cooling system before you even consider turning the boost up I wrecked the Head on My Starion because I lost coolant while running 16 PSI find a popular turbo car and read at their forum I learned a lot about boost on the starion/conquest forum. have fun and keep a cool head.
  8. sounds like somebody got a little Zap! get a video next time?
  9. you fix that with a nice custom fuel rail with (more) equal length runners. I am noticing all the new headers for EJs are the equal length no boxer rumble type. thumbs way down...
  10. nice read great project!
  11. they really don't make any new "hatch patrol" candidates anymore do they? it would be really sweet if they built a coupe sedan and wagon again that are like the old ea82s of course updated and such. but "trailable" Subaru has forgotten the jeep-killer apeal of old subys!
  12. if it had a proper bumper and the center section molded up to match the tails it would look sweet.
  13. I had to adjust the pedal on my Starion after changing the clutch. if it was really worn down and you put in a new one then that's what the effect would be without adjustment no able to put it in gear. (or really hard to)
  14. I agree at feeling good. but I also have a soft spot for Imprezas and EJ turbos. to me I think it's be cool to get all you can out of the EA82t. but I really wouldn't call it worth spending too much money on. people said the same thing about 240sx truck motor KA24s as well but it turned out that those had just as much if not more capability my bottom line. I am buying an EJ25 SOHC 170 some odd HP motor for 250 when you get the EA82 to 170 crank HP dependably tell me how much it cost you. I am guessing 500 bucks spent on the swap (if I keep it FWD probably won't) then I mod it.
  15. the coupe is like the RX and like Caboobaru's rx clone a hatch is the other hatch looking creature. Coupe hatch
  16. Damn fine pictures! you rawk!
  17. that makes for an easier install but the exhaust side of these sure is small in my honest opinion mitsu turbos are inexpensive (thanks to DSM tuners) and come in all sizes and flow rates. I think a 12A from a Starion/conquest would be a good upgrade, and since most of those guys are upgrading..... they are cheap........
  18. I have often wanted to paint my Mitsubishi Starion like a land verion of a ZERO......... I like the USMB one best out of your choices!
  19. God I miss boost...........
  20. hmm now I have to go count the turns on my xt DL........ BRB. 4.8!!!!!!!
  21. word...... no need to part out a good running forester even if it is tired.....
  22. cool............ yes! hurry!
