  1. That is pretty much what was posted here (Probably a few less models) This should be made into a Sticky for everyone running 5x100s!
  2. Ok ok, Pretty much every other market besides America! America never gets anything good, and thats a fact.
  3. Mine has the Box aswell. Hmm.
  4. I'll stick with the Turbo Diesel Toyota made for these in JDM and EDM markets, Cummins ain't everything boy...!
  5. High Positive Offset are usually 41+ mm positive. So 41mm and up would be considered High Positive.
  6. I remember, someone posted a long list of all the vehicles that run 5x100 on here not to long ago. Trying to find it is the real question! I was surprised to hear that VW fits on the 5x100. I know Passat wheels are like 5x112 or something (As I wanted to run them a while ago) 5x100 is so much easier to come by then the 4x140 the 80s Subaru ran Another soon to be lifted Subaru in WI, looking forward to see that on the road!
  7. JezJek, Yes, the Loyale is my show car. It is in the garage right now, away from all the salt and weather. That car will be with me till I die. I agree that I am an old school guy as well, 80s car just look better then the 90s (For the most part) but the other thing I like about the Landcruisers, would be the power and torque. They might be slow, but are seriously torque with that Straight-6. Even the new Landcruiser 200-Series I am fond of, because of the V8 and the 500ft.lbs tq in High-range. Big powerful Toyota is the way to go for me, until Subaru makes something similar.
  8. Yep, I remember you showing my pics of his 60. Looks really good. I'm just moving away from Subarus cause the new ones are just kinda boring, and the old ones are hard to come by, unless you want a rust bucket.
  9. At Highway speeds, grease can get into places you wouldn't imagine. There is probably still some grease inside the cup which could be burning off the exhaust.
  10. Looks pretty clean, the FZJ80s are pretty common around here (Midwest) I don't no if I'd want one since the 4.5 1FZ-FE tends to have HG issues being a DOHC. But it does have E-lockers front and rear! Thats a good price for it though, these can still go for close to $10,000 in really good condition.
  11. Ah yes! Good picture reference Shawn.
  12. If I remember right, on the bottom of each head, there will be 3 slashes/lines stating that they are the 3rd gen Turbo Heads.
  13. http://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/66-problems-maintenance/36330-2003-outback-wagon-h6-3-0-o2-sensor-location.html
  14. Make sure he keeps the Clutch pack and Duty-C from his original incase the AWD does not work in the replacement trans.
  15. I'm just going to use my original as its Electronic Vs. Analog like the First gen Legacys. Chances are, the Trans will come with it in the housing, all you have to do is plug it in.
  16. Better yet, to save you more money and the hassle of alignment. Push/Pull on the wheel as if you were trying to turn it (Left/Right). If you have no play in the wheel, you do not need Inner Rods, let alone outer rods.
  17. Moog is fine, but over priced. I bet you are spending $40 for a Rod end and $10 for the boot. Beck/Arnley is cheeper, still fine quality. Go to Carquest. O2 Sensor 1. is Pre Cat, O2 sensor 2. will be post cat. Save your self some money and headache, Go to carquest to order these. You will be looking at about $120 if not less. Or order everything from Rockauto which will be cheapest and choose your own part. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php
  18. A Head gasket can be done in a Day outside (You don't even need to pull the motor) Been there and done that. Being that this is a '96 Legacy, it still has the Phase-I EJ22 with Single Port Heads, These heads do not crack or warp from bad HGs unlike the Phase-II EJ22. I personally, would spend a few bucks for the Fel-Pro gasket kit, chances are they have Genuine HGs in the kit, And then just go to town one day. You are better off sticking a few bucks into a car that you have some idea as to whats wrong with it, then to buy another persons problem and sort that out. The Rubber smell could be something burning off the exhaust, possible Axle grease/bad boot, Might also be gear oil from an Axle stub seal since the cat is right there. My $.04
  19. I really like the stance of your car, Looks right proper!
  20. Going to be getting spacers from a Dude here in Waukesha for $25, Awesome! Dude said he has seen my truck across from his Daughters School and wondered who's it was, then he PM'd me on ih8mud.com
  21. Lol... Yes, I am getting the 173,000 mile Trans outta that Red '96 Wagon, I dunno why Norm charges (He did not give me a defiant) But he said like $400 for an EJ22 motor, so I am thinking an Auto trans will be less then that. Fox, There is a '91-'92 Sedan out there with an Auto in it. Graham might be able to go after that.
