  1. Hope you can get'r going, soon.
  2. If they can't sign up, even just to vote, then maybe just take their votes at the next meet and announce the winner here?
  3. Impressive work, man. Hope to see some action shots now!
  4. Nice roll bars... I assumed they would be shorter, with the sammy windshield in there, but I like that better.
  5. From whatcom co. Me
  6. As hot as it will be this Sunday, I plan on going swimming after the Baru-B-Q. There is an unlisted, neighborhood park just a few miles south of Custer, that borders the Nooksack river. Practically on the way home for most of you guys. And no...the river can't be forded! Map and directions
  7. Sounds like you're ready to do some wheelin!
  8. Just for the time being. I'm sure the power gain would greatly help off road, but it commutes fine for now.
  9. Uh, yeah...lookin a little warm there! At least there's plenty of shade, and I'll be bringing a water cooler.
  10. It's all worth it for free hot dogs!
  11. I'll be there.
  12. Okay, that last post was worthless...better to just show them installed. Wiring is all done, and cable-tied up in wiring loom. U-bolts will be trimmed shorter, then all coated with black tool dip. Stainless screw and neoprene washer for good grounds. I Still need to solder the connectors, don't like those bright, yellow connectors. Here's how they look compared to the high beams! Still needs a little adjusting: I also started on my "rat-rod" paint job. The awful clear coat has already done most of the work for me, so I'll just be spot priming any bare metal with rust primer. I think my trail wagon is nearing completion now! I decided to put off the EJ swap, until this is a dedicated wheeler. I drive it as is everyday to work, 50 or so miles, and it goes just fine. Maxima alt and welded diff are it for the "bigger" things, then just minor stuff like more lights, bumpers, winch, seats, etc. It's been a blast to build, and I'll keep annoying you all with the minor stuff!
  13. Bill-O's Big Subaru Museum! Looks like Rusty is ready to be a donor. :-\
  14. That's a good idea, so no one gets lost. Jeff, you still have my cell#?
  15. I know...stupid to only rate it for wood and fiberglass. One of the listed apps is for through-hull fittings, so that would mean metal also. I'd clean and sand everything real good, and there's practically nothing it won't stick to! Keep in mind that it is rated permanent, so cleaning it up won't be fun. I'd try new bushings first, being easier to seal afterwards if necessary.
  16. Possibly one of the tougher urethanes, like 3M window weld, or marine 5200. Being a sealant, and flexible is what makes it less permanent, but is necessary. I'd use 5200. Anyone who has ever used it, will tell you it's the toughest sealant.
  17. Bump...only a week now!
  18. That is a long 'un, with a dozen better places to wheel in-between, but you're welcome, of course. You goin' to the evans creek campout, that'd be closer?

    fingerpaint?
  20. Looks good, Scott...but isn't that bottom cut a little crooked It'll look great with the tailgate on there!
  21. SoobieDoo replied to Mugs's topic in Off Road
Used high heat paint, I hope!?!
  22. You could put a brat jumpseat in place of the rear to help lighten.
  23. It's prob already getting old, but here are my only pics:
  24. Now all you need is a van, and you can live in it down by the river! Gotta say though, it really is nice having some spots close to home to wheel at. The Custer Clutter spot is just a few miles from my place: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=100889
