  1. Put me down as another maybe. That's the start of our vacation, but we planned on driving right by there on saturday anyway. It looks like only a couple of the "more difficult" trails are closed... http://www.dnr.wa.gov/Publications/amp_rec_reiter_interim_strategies_map06-09.pdf Just how open diff friendly is reiter? :-\
  2. Here's yet another way to use this great stuff. 1/3 can each in the gas tank, oil, then through the pcv. I never changed the oil afterwards...just kept topping it off every week! My TOD's been gone now for about a year.
  3. Hi Tom, glad to hear you got that leak fixed. What's the prob with your fenders...rust? That could at least be slowed dramatically with ospho, if you can't properly take care of it before winter. Just how early do you get snow there anyway!?!

  4. If one of those 720 axle sizes doesn't work out, then these cars also used it and offer different axle lengths. Just watch out for the different spline counts, if you want to use the locking hubs. 240z 280z 200sx 240sx
  5. My camera is having problems initializing the usb connection, but the pics suck anyway...after all it is installed. Maybe later.

  6. No prob, Brian, now I see...cause I didn't find jack on a soob/720 rear end. You should do this, and sell me your nissan front!
  7. Yeah, doesn't look like much, but gits 'er done! Sorry I never got to taking that pic, maybe tomorrow. You'll prob need to weld in a short section of pipe between the stock one and the muffler, and if you can go over instead of in the stock pipe, then it won't restrict flow. I've never had to touch my manifold bolts :)

  8. All the way to the wheel? Good, then maybe you can bring some useful info to the table!?! Don't worry, Jeff...It's still Fuji heavy industries
  9. I like your idea of using the nissan 720 setup, but from the ton of research I've done, it's not been tested on an older soob. Maybe some R180 diffs converted with custom axles, but not nissan all the way out. I'm still very interested in doing this on my own car too...the benefits are just too great! Stronger diff/ stub axles/ halfshafts, rear disc brakes, lsd possibility or weld the diff and unlock with hubs. It looks like the diff will bolt-on easily, but the trick would be making a custom sub frame to mount the nissan hubs? Or convert the axles to subaru, weld or lsd the rear, and get far less breakage. This has been talked about for many years, so I'd donate my time to see this awesome mod become reality!
  10. No prob, Tom. I should be able to get you a pic tonight, with the wheel on...it should be okay. I cut back far enough to get to close to 1-7/8", but the weld would have still been sloppy, had I done it myself. If you weld over, instead of in, you should get more sound. My sound is pretty darned quiet...but compared to original muffler full of holes!!!

  11. Jeff, did you get my pm? I'd like one in white, please.
  12. Looks like you all had a blast! I'll be sure to have the time off and a welded diff, if it happens again next year. Scott, do you like rock crawling any better now!?! Bill, maybe we can meet up next month for some wheelin' and dunin'?
  13. I believe that Wallyworld dropped their 14's, but the Uniroyal Liberators are still available in a 225/70R14. For the money and daily driving, I'd go with the AT2's.
  14. The dog gate's also a great idea, in case you do a nose-dive and something becomes unsecured. A steel tool box on the back of your skull may smart a little!
  15. I did use the stock bent pipe, then just adapted it to the muffler.
  16. Ya know, I'm not sure now which I got...prob the 7407 Where did you get that pic from!?! http://www.cherrybomb.com/products/pro The inlet was supposed to be centered, so I got it backwards. Hence the weird placement on me soob. I'd buy a different pipe size or brand to get it right. Don't count on the stock pipe being 1-7/8" either. I think it's flared out to some odd size near the muffler. Here's all you need to know: http://www.indysworld.com/80s/general/ea-performance-page/subaru-ea-performance.html
  17. The lids have a rubber seal, but the trick will be waterproofing the hole for the harness. I'll try and find some kind of rubber seal, maybe from a firewall? Then there's always silicone!
  18. Hey, it was cheap. Guess I'll paint mine and stop the rust from one side. GD, if I'm understanding correctly, wouldn't the turbo manifold decrease performance?
  19. I've got the cherry bomb turbo on mine. Sounds nice...not much louder, but still has the rumble and I'm sure a couple more HP's. And no, it doesn't have to go in crooked like mine to fit.
  20. Either coleman or plastic boxes are a great idea. I like to spread out my stuff a bit. A roof rack is great for muddy shovel and tow straps, EA82 stash spots in the back for most everything else. The comealong is still new in the box, so it gets special privileges on the rear floor. I'll be bolting an ammo box in the spare tire area under the hood, just for fluids (and an EJ22 brain someday!)
  21. Yours looks real clean, and that would cost no more than the flashing.
