  1. Nice soob, Jeff. What year is it? You gonna do the whole lift thing, or just clean 'er up?
  2. Start a build thread, we'd love to see some pics!
  3. I had to check out the bighorns too. They offer that one 14, but no narrow 15's. I chose to go the 15" route for better selection, but in 215's or less, it's almost as bad as 14's.
  4. Wouldn't dream of off-roading some of those now!
  5. Looks nice...like stock should be! No zzz?
  6. What's the backspace on them wheels? I've considered using homemade spacers, if necessary, on my nissan's.
  7. I want one...never even seen a stock jack, mine didn't come with.
  8. It's a be-oo-tee! I'm looking forward to this build as well. You've done some amazing rigs, but not a real nice daily, that I've seen anyway.
  9. That's way cool that you saved that soob, Jeff. Being twisted and all, it would never drive good on the road again. At least it's not being parted out, and knowing you...no mere tree is going to kill it!!!
  10. Looks real good, Jeff. I still can't believe you squeezed those 235's under there!
  11. Okay, I'm getting some real progress done now. I decided to go with a SJR 4" lift and got the easy half installed the other day with Scott's help. Just didn't have the time to do it all at once, and I thought the muscle car rake would be funny for a short time. Also finally had the cherry bomb welded in, but Midas decided to put it in diagonally for some reason!?! I know there was enough clearance, but maybe they were concerned with bumpage or heat. Oh well, it's still better ground clearance than a stocker...just could have been even better. I've also been working on the nissan wheels, but no pics 'till they're all painted. Full lift, 6-lug conversion, and new tires to come soon! The rear lift: The cockeyed muffler: Diff drop plate and camber:
  12. If you haven't already, you might want to upgrade your alternator. Search for GM 100, or Maxima 90 amp. I'm thinking you'll need the 100+!!!
  13. That might be a pretty good deal, considering how rare soobs are in TX. Both have your basic requirements, too. One running car, and lots of parts.
  14. Any idea if the leggy's would fit a GL? I know they're both frameless, but could be different shape/profile? It's a little wet here, so I need some...even if custom!
  15. Here's one version: http://offroadingsubarus.com/6stud_conversion.html
  16. Don't know about Restore, but I used Seafoam in all 3 ways on my car, and the tick's all but gone. It has no funny additives, that I know of.
  17. Like I said in your other thread, nice rig! Is that the stock tranny? If not, a d/r would rock offroad.
  18. I love your choice in a wheeler; you don't see many of those off-road!
  19. I'm a definite maybe. This looks like a great place for some mild wheelin' and I'm always up for camping. (especially with fellow soob nuts!)
  20. ...just broken in now! At least you were able to get some pics with the weather like it was. Looks like ya missed pics of Scott's rig. I can see why a welded dif is almost a necessity there!
  21. Glad to help Scott. What was up with the charging system? Jeff: get any pics this time? ~E
  22. +1... better to remove it entirely, than to just slow it with some treatment.
  23. That is a sweet deal. Lift alone is worth that!
  24. Rustoleum road warrior is a rubberized, two-part epoxy. Good stuff too...but over a bill!
