  1. When you can, post some pics of your new subey!
  2. Good job for at least getting it to drive home! Keep us updated on the EJ swap!!!
  3. Sweet! Well please post up some pics of whatever it is, whenever you can!!!
  4. Yeah I did check and they are 15's. Would you be willing to pay the shipping for them? Cause even if I can't get them I could get them for you if you want. Let me know.
  5. Very nice I love the turbo leg. wheels on it!
  6. Well I have alloy pugs now they are 14". I haven't damaged them at all but we also don't have the same trails that you guys have out there. There are some really challenging trails out here but not nearly what I've seen off pictures on here. I would just mainly get them so that I could put more of a street tire on them anyway. I want something with a little less rolling resistance. Thanks for the info!
  7. Hmmm, So I bet it is pretty cold huh? Its supposed to be in the low twenties for highs here!
  8. cool! where are you located?
  9. Well jeez I wish I were closer I'd give you a hand! But anyways for the rockers I cut about a 1/4" below the door sill and then pealed off the sheet metal down where the rocker meets the inner support. I then used that as a rough estimate for measurements. Then I cut out new sheet metal(actually used Subaru Loyale roof) and bent them with a homemade break where they needed to be bent. Before I welded them back on I replaced most of the inner support and made sure to reenforce anything that needed it and then welded the new rocker on. Of course then you have to grind down the welds and pretty them etc. It was quite involved! Also my passenger side floor panel was terrible, so I had to do some frame rail rebuilding too. It's really not that hard. If I can do it I know you can! But feel free to ask questions! I'll help if I can. I don't have any pics of the process but I can probably take pics of the floor patches I did.
  10. That's what I want. I want them to give me a nice wide stance I just wanted to make sure that they wouldn't stick in more than my 14" Pugs. Also what do your tires measure in inches?
  11. I bet it has something to do with that vac line. It has to go somewhere and these trannys rely on vaccum to work. So I would look to see where that vac line could go
  12. I was just wondering if these will have the same off set as the wheels on my Brat. Check my profile to see the wheels on my Brat. I have a chance to get these but I want to make sure that they will still have the wide stance that my 14's have. Thanks
  13. Yup I recognize all that too! I actually bent up rocker panels for mine, just like the factory two piece. So my rockers are solid now too. I never had anything near the tail light though. Yeah rust works pretty fast, once it starts it goes fast:-\ I've always said "Rust never sleeps"
  14. Yeah Luckily I never drove mine in the winter so it wouldn't rust. But yeah that sucks! Hows the rest of the body?
  15. Boy does that bring back memories! It looks a lot like my Brat did. I think mine were actually a little worse. But they are all solid now:grin:. Sorry to hear about the job:-\I know how it is, I've been out of work for several months now and haven't been able to find anything! I'm starting to wonder whats gonna happen! But keep us updated on your progress! Are you gonna weld patches in? Are there any other rusty areas?
  16. I agree with both as well!
  17. What is the vehicle? If it's a GL or a Loyale don't really worry too much. All the gauges mess up. Just listen to your car to make sure it doesn't start tapping badly. Every older subaru I've owned has had a messed up gauge...sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't
  18. That's impressive! But it still ran! Gotta love Subarus!!
  19. I would just try bolting them up to one. I know you might not have one but maybe you know someone with one. If the offset is enough than they will bolt up even though they are so wide. I had some 17's on an Impreza that had insanely wide tires but they fit cause they stuck out enough.
  20. If you can do repairs yourself than its a lot cheaper! All cars are expensive to have worked on, but as far as parts go it isn't any worse for a Subaru than it is for any other vehicle. And most of the time you can use used parts.
