  1. From what I've heard yes but this part welded up just fine and has weakened yet! But yeah Good luck with it and if you have any more questions I will do my best to answer them!
  2. Yes I had to cut and reweld both mounts....front and rear. The front one is cut and then kind of clocked and then welded. The rear I can't exactly remember but I think I just did it so it would fit! This is a pic of the front mount...
  3. Yeah I agree with not going off what aftermarket says but I have interchanged subaru axles between the two tranny's before. I never noticed a difference. I would be interested to see what subaru says are the actual differences are.
  4. Yeah keep searching I know that someone on hear will have a rear disc kit that will fit, just put up a want ad.
  5. Looks very clean! wanna trade? How long you had it? Any other plans beside motor work?
  6. Well you could probably buy an new one at the dealer maybe or go searching in the junkyards? Or just don't hook it up?
  7. Ok good luck! And let us know what happens! I dunno though I have always installed them by hooking them to the tranny last. I think that you're on the right track, I just think that something is off. Whether it is the axle or the car! So let us know!
  8. if its not a turbo than its 3.90 diff. If its a turbo than its 3.70
  9. Nice lookin Brat! Is it pretty clean/any body work done to it? Any plans?
  10. +1 and yes I have personally installed several and used them myself and they are good axles. They are visibly beefier than others and I have never replaced one! And never heard of any going bad.
  11. I say return the axle and get a NEW one. The remanufactured ones are pretty much junk anyway. I would try NAPA. The Max Drive axle that they have is a really good quality and I've never seen one need replacing. I'm not saying thats your problem but you never know and it doesn't hurt!
  12. They look like air conditioner hoses to me. And if they don't bolt on to the new motor than you might have to pull the pump off of your old motor and use that.
  13. I think maybe the linkage broke. You would have to pull off the plastic trim on front of the windshield, the piece that the wipers go down through. Then you can see whats wrong. Or it could just be that they nut that holds the wiper down actually loosened up a little. Check that first.
  14. This is my brat crawling up a short piece of ledge on the power line. And this is me going down a really steep hill. I did come back up too, but have no pics! But A friend of mine in a Yota with locked front and spool in the rear with 33" swampers couldn't come up it!
  15. No prob at all! I completely understand. I've looked at pics and done the same thing before. I'm glad you see it now though! Yeah and don't grow up too much! It's not good for you:)
  16. Yes that it there and in the center of the diff. side retainer (#12 in photo) is the stub shaft coming out of the tranny!
