  1. I see this in the mods section but the pics are gone. Is there anyone who might have pics of this inside and out? The original thread was made by s' ko. Thanks!
  2. Yeah I have thought of it but I do way too much offroading where my car gets tipped up on its side or other and all the carbed subys I've used have started to stall out. And the OBDII system works excellent! So that would be my preference. And with a carbed EJ I'd have to search for a distributor to work etc. But I probably won't even do it until I get another car. I want to get one with little or no rust, we don't have those out here! If I find a good shell than I will go all out on it!
  3. Yeah thats what I'm talkin about is off road! It goes ok but only if you keep the revs high. But if you are climbing a steep rocky incline and it just runs out of power! I wanna do the EJ swap but don't have all the parts and I'm scared of all the wires!
  4. Man that sucks! hopefully someone can hook you up with the right part!! Oh yeah and I see that broken corner lens!
  5. Man My brat with fuel injection and 26" tires is so under powered it isn't funny!
  6. yeah but I'm pretty sure that its the stock tranny! You'd think that the WRX motor would be rough on that! But yeah very cool looking! And I bet it does have plenty of power even with 29's!
  7. Didn't he try to sell this on ebay a while back?
  8. I'm pretty sure that because it was in the playground it is gone! That was just a temporary place to use while they straightened things out.
  9. Not my car but some I know. It's an '80 wagon with full Loyale suspension and drivetrain, including motor. Customized factory pushbar, rear disc's, 14" Peugeot wheels, rocker panel protection, etc. And a pic of his Brat with again the same stuff as stated above.
  10. Like I said in the playground I used for a short time a VLSD out of a 91 legacy turbo 5 spd. It was a direct bolt in. Or you could build an LSD which is explained how to do in the offroad mod section of this forum. Hope this helps
  11. No I don't think they are any stronger than the 15" as far as the thickness of the metal, but they worked excellent for me. I had 205/70/14 onthem so not huge but they worked. Another friend of mine was running the 15" spares and he was running the old factory tires of an Outback. I think they are like 205/70/15? they are pretty tall. But again they worked great for me and a few of my friends and we tested the crap out of them! But they are spare tire rims and I know that's not what they were meant for.
  12. Alright cool Well maybe I'll try that! Thanks again!!
  13. Thanks Brian, I just went and did a search and yeah no real progress made! So I guess to do this it would entail a fair amount of work! So my qiestion now is what alternatives do I have? I would really like to correct the camber issue I have. Any ideas or anything that anyone has done to do this? Thanks again!
  14. Right I figured it would camber the tire the other way. But right now on my brat I have a home made lift and adjustable EA82 struts, springs, and tops and my tires lean out at the top a little more than I would like them to. So I was thinking that this would correct it. But I want to know if It's a bolt on mod or if there are problems that would need to addressed to make it work.
  15. I was thinking...could it be done and would it work?.......... Could you take the control arms, cv axles and hub assembly off of a Loyale/EA82 and fit them onto EA81 vehicle? If it would work, it would widen the front end a little which the EA81's definitely need, and would help fix any camber issue. And you could use the better cv axle!! I wasn't sure if this had been addressed before and or if anyone had attempted it. But It would be pretty cool! Thanks -Jason
  16. Man it would suck if the guy on the four wheeler dumped it!
  17. I have always just unbolted the tc from the flex plate before pulling the motor. Yes it is a pain in the butt sometimes to get to the four tc bolts but I personally think its worth it so you don't have to worry about the hassle of re-seating the tc. If you are going to completely reseal the engine anyway than you can pull the whole intake assembly before hand and then the tc bolts are easy to get to. Thats just my opinion:)
  18. I used to run the 2 wheel drive spares. They are 14" wheels. I ran them on 2 of my Loyales that I had lifted. They worked great on and off road. I beat the crap out of them and besides the bead getting a little bent they held up great! I ran them and I had a couple friends who ran them as well. Never had any problems and like I said....they were tested! I ran them for several years and took lots of long road trips with them as well. At the time I didn't have Puegot wheels and couldn't find any so that was the only option in getting a bigger tire!
  19. Here are a couple pics of my dog. She is like my first born, had her since she was born and never leaves my side! And she's the proud mother of ten puppies! This one is my sister with my dog on my wheeler.
  20. Congrats! Did you notice how much beefier the Max Drive axle was? You should have good luck with it! Glad you finally got it!
  21. I'm not sure if this is your problem or not but I have seen quite a few of the actual switches go bad on these style cars...EA81. But it could ba any of the things you listed.
