Well it is up to it's old tricks anyone tied the Lucas brand power steering additive stuff?

Great thread recently on this http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=86338&page=4 I used the Power King Automatic Transmission Filter on a '03 Legacy GT sedan and it shifts better now. Replaced it at 65,000 miles and there was residue already inside the tranny filter! I would replace it!

I will look at this as well? Have part #'s on CORRECT belt???

Should replace with Stainless hose clamps!

I have tried semi syn. ATF with no luck maybe theis Lugeguard stuff will work!

Well since out P/S systems take Dextron III ATF can we use these products? It makes noise all the time even when not turning the wheel!

Well it's my Mom's car and she lives 2 1/2 hours away! Don't get to work on it often!

Well just did another suck-out and replace with fresh Dextron III ATF seems quieter for the moment.

WOW, the old filter was hard to get off!! It was all gunked up at 65,000 miles. No one warned me that another two qts. come out when you unscrew the filter. Had to make a mad dash for the corner store up the road and pay $5.00 for a qt. of Peak Dexron III ATF. Car shifting much better with Pro-king filter.

Use boot protectant when re-installing to prevent this from happening again.

I hear ya, but have to do the job tommorow! Mainly seeing if some one had use dthese Pro-King ATF filter before. Wix I have heard other members using, have yet to hear issues.

I bought the Wix filter as well for $8 but the WIX filter says oil filter on it?? The stealership is juts too far away and there hours don't work either.

The Pro-King Transmission filter I have is black, wrapped in plastic inside the box and has the date of manufature painted on it. The Wix I saw for the application on line said it was a oil filter and that made me scared. I like the fact that this filter says ATF only on it.

Well just went to Advanced autoparts and on a whim asked them if they stoked one since stealership is so far away and only open 9-5. Well they looked up a Pro-King Automatic Transmission Filter part # FK-335. It says right on it made only for ATF applications and it looks the part. It was only $12 and company looks legit? manager says they sell a lot to the local Saturn dealer for there automtic transmission services?

Would this MMO trick work in a '03 EJ25?

I would use silicone greese so you do not damage the rubber seals inside!

I think this is the cause we have had the STEALERSHIP techs overfill the crankcase three times on the car!!

Well just put a set of NGK lazer plats. in my Mom's '03 GT auto. with 63k. Well the diff. was huge over teh Regular NGK that I replaced at 30k. Best MPG ever out of the car as well. I will put nothing but Plat's in it now!!

They are mad ein China and they are sold through COOPER dealers her in the uS can find them under there site.

I agree but they replaced it 1,000 miles out of warrentee so we were not nit picking!!!

Well they are leaking on the head the stealership DID NOT replace the HG on.

Well it might have something to due with the drivers side headgasket was replaced for external leak issue by Subaru dealer. Now both pass. side seals between valve cover gasket and spark plug tubes is leaking oil.

Thanks for the WIX #, BUT if I look at the application guide it is all ENGINE or Motor oil service not ATF or Hydro. service!!!

So after draining and re-filling the ATF in my Mom' 03 GT Legacy sedan the fluid came out REAL dark red after 30k. I now plan to replace the spin on filter and draina nd refill soon. Can I just use a oil filter that fits or do I risk pressure issues WIX cross looks to be a oil filter!
