ordered new wheels for my car finally.... lol everyone keeps saying the car looks too much like a family car. sadly it seems like it was cheaper for me to buy brand new wheels then to find some from a 2002 WRX.. but now that I brought them I'm sure everyone will come out of the woodwork saying they have 02 wrx wheels for sell.. Happy with the color I picked should match well. Was going to do the rest of my brakes but i got sidetracked yesterday and tomorrow is not going to be any better.

I guess you are talking to be since I was the last post.. but yeah I have this Husky tool and yes it's a HD house brand and I own a few HF tools I own the 1/2" earthquake impact which I like but I'm stuck between this husky I just picked up or do I return it (haven't connected it or used it yet) and get the 3/8" air impact.. I have this tool here http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?jspStoreDir=hdus&catalogId=10053&productId=100678392&navFlow=3&keyword=hstc4005&langId=-1&searchRedirect=hstc4005&storeId=10051&endecaDataBean=com.homedepot.sa.el.wc.integration.endeca.EndecaDataBean%40367370f9&ddkey=THDStoreFinder If it wont show search for HSTC4005

Question here need to do the rear brakes but I tried last night with a hand ratchet with no luck (hit it with PB blaster) My 1/2" impact wrench is too large to fit I think the control arm gets in the way.. would a air ratchet work for me? at least one that's rated for 100 FT-lbs? I did buy a husky one that's rated for 65 Ft lbs but I might spend a little more. I don't know if me using deep impact sockets might be the issue.. I'd have to check in the morning.

the other pad for that caliper was fine.. had to be the pin because it was hard enough to get it out and when I did it was bone dry.. So glad I got that screw bottle of permatex caliper lube! it's hard to tell if my brakes are spongy right now (seems to take more effort with ceramics) but it stops A little bit of the caliper grease got on the rotor face which I tried to clean it as best as I could the bolts for the rear disc are a pain and I already broke one ratchet yesterday (head fell apart husky brand) so the rear's are on really tight.. I did hit it with PB blaster before giving up for the night around 10 pm -

old pad and rotor (yikes) The cap made of gold I think this was passenger side.. why is the wear on the pad like this? I noticed the slider pin was pretty much dry.. Drivers side air tools make it effortless Oh yeah I know it's not brake related but I found the two sounds.. first of all the passenger side wheel at first I thought it was a bad wheel bearing but it's the ball joint (did not do the passenger side yet) wow so much play in it that's where that popping sound is.. the other sound is from the driver's side CV joint since I'm new to this I had the front end raised should the axle connected to the transmission have up and down play? -

A member here has a cap that he's going to send to me so I think I should be good.. I love my parts guy lol I had him look it up and he was like holy crap when he saw the price he was like that's unreal.. I was like I know :-| and perfect timing.. my brake spoon has been found!! I did run out of brake cleaner.. now if I can just find my grease for the slide pins. Going to be interesting when I take the pad off because it always felt like the driver front was dragging.. I would be driving and I'd smell hot pads and I would think well I did not see any hard braking up ahead. As soon as I find the grease time to start. -

I just don't want to make a hole in the stock cap and have it leak.. I mean I'm using o-rings and all but still I want to be safe. -

yeah I did not think it would be that off anyways *edit should I paint my calipers? since it will be painted black I was thinking red but I don't want it to look too overly flashy or ricey. -

yeah maybe I just wonder if it would leak.. Man I tried two dealers and they both said the same thing they would have to order it from NJ and it would not be here until next week.. tried two junk yards and nothing.. tried advance auto and auto zone and nothing... SO as bad as I hate to do it I can't bleed the brakes at the time but I will do the pads and rotors. -
I have a 95 Legacy and yesterday I was searching here to find where most people put the gauge at.. I never found a clear answer for that part but I was looking at getting this gauge here http://prosportgauges.com/52mm-electrical-oil-pressure-gauge.aspx It also shows the picture of the sender they send with it as well.. from my understanding the oil gallery plug is under the alternator? Will that sender fit? I was reading something about how a NPT would not seal all the way?

LOL want to hear a funny story.. I was coming back from N.C. and I stopped at a gas station and one of the workers walked up to my car with a spray can.. so I'm thinking oh god what is this?? and the guy was trying to sell me wheel a wheel cleaner in a can.. So he points to my wheels (they have covers on them) and he was like man they look pretty bad this will fix them right up lol I was like no thanks.. that's plastic man... And I was off. I will grab some shots of that rotor that I know darn well has to be down way more then the min thickness... the pad must have nothing left.. they must of picked the cheapest pads without the wear indicators. -

Nice I just noticed the weather forcast is not going to be raining today so time to do the brakes! I have no clue what the dealer is going to charge for a brake reservoir cap since I'm going to be drilling in the old one to make my cap for the pressure bleeder. -

So from that link it will read 2.8% slower so if I was going 60 mph I'm really going 61.7 mph. it's not like the speedo is 100% right the faster you go anyways. remember I'm moving up from the stockers to 205/55/16 Ohh yeah extra money in my paycheck for tomorrow going to place the order for the wheels Can't blow everything at once since vacation time -

Hey going from 14" wheel to 16 wont my speedo show slower right? plus my gearing would take a hit right? (5 speed) 95 legacy -
I had something like that happen to my forester XS I guess the oil seal popped and front diff fluid all leaked out and the gear noise got louder and louder.. I was hoping to make it to the auto store but the front diff broke under the lightest throttle input ever.. something like 5% throttle leaving a stop light and every rotation of the ring gear it would hit the broken tooth and it was very nasty.. $3,000 worth of damage.
