ok #1 yes for the 76 wagon, #2 all the doors including the rear hatch lol, and #3 New or replica cause the used/original route would be scarry cause of being almost 30 years old 75Skunkaroo and I have been looking around for those door seals for awhile and can't find them at all and luckily the rear hatch and windshield window gaskets are easier to get cause of being aircooled vw parts

Brat VIN Location
bajavwnsoobnut replied to DPDISXR4Ti's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
a simple way is save the other 2 tags on the brat that is being scrapped and then transfer the tags on the door jam and the dash to their appropriate spots using aluminum pop rivets that look like the originals heck when I got my 76 registered here from washington they only looked at the door and dash vin #'s -
yeah what Northwet said and might check your timing it might be off and that is one of the cheapest things you can do if you already have access to a timing light

is it the original beetle or is it a super beetle? cause if it's a standard beetle just yank out that spare tire and cut a good size hole and mount it there and then pending how you want it you can make some shaped holes in the trunklid and then insulate the rest of the trunk from drafts or louver the hood and so it's still steathy and such 91loyale how did you cut your middle finger off?
-
yes it originaly had the dreaded EA-63 1400cc motor in it and I havn't seen a difference between the EA-71 and the EA-65 yet and the people that have driven it have noticed how peppy it is and that is saying alot considering some of the few drive cars with EA-81's and EA-82t's but when it goes down for rebuild it is gonna get a few more ponies under the hood ala RalliTek's and Oddcomps help and hey since your restoring that where the heck can you find the door weatherstriping that goes around the door entrance to seal the door and window?
-
I was just asking for information about that certain motor cause I do have one and don't have any information about it don't really need one more thanks just need information
-
there was never a 3rd seat option and I would say GET IT cause that is one of those rarities that it is a 90 loyale with the turbo period and to top that off with full time 4WD and then being a touring wagon on top of that it is as rare as hens teeth so if he has gone through that car all the way I would say that is a good deal on that
-
k I will try to find one but as I said the 77 and older vehichles are rare around here too and that is the front end of my 76 4WD and hey since your over int Israel did you guys get a EA-65 engine imported there from 79-86 per chance? if so I would love to get any and I do mean any info on that particular engine cause that's what is in the 76 right now and I know it's a 1300cc motor and produces 65 HP but that is it period

well all but my 76 has their headlight switches switched to on all the time no matter what cause of they turn off with the ignition (that's why the parking light switch sios cause of some places in the world that is required if you have the ignition off and are parked in some situations) and I agree what is up with these guys that run only their parking lights on that is plain dumb
