LMAO I would be saying every few minutes "I want this one and this one and this one" you guys sometimes get the coolest things darn EPA and DOT and government in general for this issue.......................................... oh yeah as for the Ford Probe thing My wife used to have one and it was a rather good running car only problem with it was the clutch but she had it replaced just before she decided to sell it and I liked driving at insane speeds and going through the twisties with that thing too but oh well I have something with all wheel drive goodness that can do the twisties pretty good now and goes like stink too

as for the Starting problem sounds like a problem I had with my 86 GL 4wd and it was traced down to old wiring from the shifter sensors for the neutral safety switch so I made a bypass by getting a relay and attaching the power wire from the actuation side of the relay and ran it to ground while having a wire from the battery going to the switch side then to the solenoid where that power wire was disconnected the power wire I am talking about is the one that is about 18ga wire that actualy actuates the solenoid and starts the starter and another thing you can do is take the starter out and disect the solenoid and clean the 2 copper contacts that are inside and also inspect them for excessive amounts of erosion as for the wheel bearings if you want to try this it has worked on my 83 so far for 6000 miles is get sealed bearings IIRC the generic bearing # is 6702 or something like that (if you have a bearing floating around look on the outer race for a 4 digit # etched into the sidewall that starts with a 6 or if need be if I remember to look tonight at work I can get the exact # cause I found them there) and you can find them at bearing stores and Grangers they are a lil spendy but they are hermeticaly sealed so no moisture can get inside if that is the case your having (rusty colored grease compared to slate grey color) -
Wanna know why I named my new hatch "Ozy"?
bajavwnsoobnut replied to ezapar's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
well here in oregon it would hafta be like OZ-FIED or something like that cause we can only have 6 letters and a hyphen and that's it lol it could even be a few of us if we wanted to play around with the lettering a bit OZFIED OZIFID OZD OZIFIY OZED BYB-OZD can't think of any others -
well the rear bearings are a thing with imps when you get it look for legacy rear wheel bearings cause they are heavier duty and for the sway bar it might just be the bushings are going out and/or those cheap looking Zytel links are failing so be a good idea to get some good urethane bushings to replace them with

well if you turn on MSNM some people might talk to you lol

ok well to make sure have you smelt the exaust? is it actualy a sweet smell of glycol? then if it is yeah a head gasket and for the headgasket replacement you will have to pull the motor and I would recommend getting a repair manual even though some of the guys are gonna shun me for saying this get the haynes manual cause it's better than the chiltons and just follow it especialy in the torqueing of the heads and I would recommend doing both of them. and a warning be careful when pulling the motor to not pull the torque converter out with it and also the intake bolts due to age and stuff might be hard to remove so take your time and don't snap them and when you put it back together a good anti-seaze lube would be a good idea for that
