  1. im pretty sure the clutch on a 2WD is smaller than on a A/4WD. -=Suberdave=-
  2. how about this one. from the christmas tree run 2005? -=Suberdave=-
  3. sounds like you had better start on that swap... or find a new tranny. -=Suberdave=-
  4. good to see you made it home. see you again next week. then the fun begens -=Suberdave=-
  5. ran a few 0-60 times today, conditions were not all that good. only got to do 2 runs but the better of the two was 0-60 in 6.3 seconds. not to bad. but if conditions were better i think it would be closer to 6.0. this was with a GTACH. seemed to work pretty good. -=Suberdave=-
  6. no problems yet... almost 1000 miles on my swap. but i think im gonna have to do some trans work this summer. -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  7. to convert to a 5 lug you will need to find an XT6 you can take all of the front and rear suspension from. i too think it is easyer to drill to 6 lug. scott at http://www.sjrlift.com/ can help with the 6 lug hubs. -=Suberdave.com
  8. it is in the I/P part of the speedo, i connected it at the F66 connector (the black one, one of the three big ones behind the fuse box) it is YR going in from the I/P and YG coming out of F66. i hope this helps. -=Superdave=-
  9. i am using the R160 STI 4.111:1 LSD rear diff. i had to shorten the rear drive shaft 55mm and ordered custom inner races from http://www.rcvperformance.com/ part # 184-068A, (they were only $6 USD) then use the inner cup from the WRX CV shaft and the rest of the GL CV shaft. works awesome. as far as suspension i am using the STI front strut knuckle hub and brakes. and the rear is off of an XT6 disk set up. i am using the stock ECU from the WRX STI. and all the stock wiring. turned out to be a very clean install. dont know any 0-60 times yet. but should know this week. i am going to go and do some 0-60's on a Gtach monday i think. -=Suberdave=-
  10. i did that. LED works now. but light is still useless. but cool none the less... -=Suberdave=-
  11. im not sure what a "blinker globe" is, maybe i call it something different. but i if you have a pic. i may have one. i have all the lights from an XT6 and i beleve they are the same... -=Superdave=-
  12. looks good. now the fun starts... -=Suberdave=-
  13. its Washington, dosnt mean 2 different days, could have just been an hour or two later. -=Suberdave=-
  14. fits in an EA-82 body with no mod. but would need mod for EA-81. there is about 3/4" - 1" on each side. fits like it was made to go in there. -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  15. here is some info on how i did mine. some of the problems i had. and just so no one else has to say it "there is no such thing as a EJ20t" it would be an EJ20G or EJ20K. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=50903 if you have any questions shoot me a PM. -=Suberdave=-
  16. here is a pic of my wagon with WRX front suspension with 17" wheels and 40 series tires on it. i think it looks awesome. but thats because its mine... -=Suberdave=-
  17. here is an old post, from a while ago, maybe it will help http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=21628 -=Suberdave=-
  18. 5 years and newer and 25 years and older do not have to be tested. -=Suberdave=-
  19. i did an EJ20G from a JDM 96 STI, bought the whole front clip. after the price of the clip, the car, new wheels and tires, exhaust, and other stuff i am in the whole thing less than $3500. could have done it for less, but i bought "NEW" 17" wheels and tires. the trick is "get a good deal on a compleet front clip" -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  20. to run WRX front susp. you will have to go to a 5 lug, for the knuckle to take the calipers. and you will have to go to a 16" poss 15" wheel. i tryed 14" wheels on my WRX converson on my GL wagon, didnt work. so i went with 17's -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  21. when i did my EJ20G swap the tach was the only thing i didnt get to work. i used a GL-10 with digi dash, but could not get the tach to work. i even bought a autometer tach adapter for use with the coil on plug ing. setup. still no luck. so i just went and bought an aftermarket tach. now it works fine, and i have a shift light. if you have any luck. let me know. i still would like t hook my tach up, if i can. -=Suberdave=-
  22. i 2nd that. not a problem. just dropped in. -=Suberdave=-
  23. then keep it. if you want to make it AWD send me a PM and i will hook you up with all that you need to make it AWD. or junk it... -=Suberdave=-
  24. here are some pics of my GL Wagon STI type RA if you will... www.suberdave.com/subaru/glwrxt -=Suberdave=-
  25. look in the center consol right behind the shift stick. do you have another stick that says 2WD 4HI and 4low? if not you dont have a hi/low transfer. if you have a button on top of your shift knob. then you only have 4 hi. -=Suberdave=-
