  16. thanks for shareing that , very funny . ...and the blonde is pretty hot too !
  17. wow man ! great looking xt6 ....good luck with it . i'm trying like hell to make room in my garage so my 88 xt6 doesn't have to sit outside anymore . not an easy job , i'm a horrible pack rat / garbage picker / dumpster diver .
  18. a lifted xt6 ? really ? .......really ? nice car man , i love mine - but in my opinion ( i know who gives a s**t ) some vehicles are better off low or slammed . the xt6 is ( again in my opinion ) one of those vehicles ! i do really like the wheels , i would like to stuff some bigger meats under my 6 . btw i got 27 mpg on the last road trip , driveing AGRESSIVELY , mostly backroads -nice and curvey - lots of passing in the straights !
  19. 88xt6 - 153,000 , got 27 mpg going to see my daughter for thanksgiving on the other coast of florida . mostly backroads across the state and highway up the coast . got to see the space shuttle land this morning !
  20. great pictures friend , hope you don't get tired of hearing that ! i watched the entire slide show , that is some amazeing stuff . are the pictures with the vivid green in the sky " altered " ...or is that what you saw with your eyes ? love those old subies ! wish my wagon was 4wd , it would look like some of those in iceland - or washington ! stay warm buddy , thanks - murph
  21. hey general ! , you rock , just enjoyed the how -2 on clutch cable replacement , great job - wish i would have had that availible when i did mine . i'm 6'3" - yeah it's tight in there . thanks again , very informative . murph
  22. i don't think the pin is in the axle , ( unless u mean the cotter pin at the end )there is a roll pin at the transmission connection , that almost cannot be there , it may be in the axle , in which case the mechanic didn't get the axle all the way "home" before reinstalling the roll pin - i could see that happening . sloppy work by the guy with tools who worked on your car ( can't really call him a mechanic ) . good luck , hope thats all it is , get the pin out , get the axle back in place , all the way home , install the pin . keep on rock-in' ! later:headbang:
  23. I did this a few weeks ago , but just had my daughter take the pics . in the process of going all flat black
  24. not that changeing axles is terribley difficult , but i personally wouldn't do all the work to put in axles from the salvage yard - odds are you'll be changeing them again very soon . hope this doesn't sound too hack - but i have got a bunch more miles out of stuffing some grease back in there and wrapping the boots with some construction grade cellofane - zipp ties - black electric tape , all wound in forward direction . super cheap fix - only temperary of course .
