Here's that ebay link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-Subaru-RHD-GC8-Impreza-WRX-STi-RA-w-extra-HKS-Defi_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ80766QQitemZ4605657151QQrdZ1#ebayphotohosting and the thread in NASIOC-SE about it: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=925167

I am more than aware of that... IIRC the GC8 RA's and R's came with roof scoops instead. Atleast the GDA and GDB RA's got roof scoops.
-
Not if you are talking about the one on eBay pictured up there...its an actual JDM car, RHD, JDM VIN and all.
-
That was on eBay a while back...was peiced together with V. 5 parts...V6 parts...V4 parts... its really a WRX with STi goodies from across the GC8 years.... It was supposidly here in Atlanta, but was listed in Arizona for some reason.

$150 EACH. $600 per SET. Not a bad deal at all...actually rather CHEAP considering Rotas are ~$180+ EACH. -
*bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt* I spent the $150 a peice and got 15x8s...hehehehe http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=52878

I paid more for the current RX than I did for those wheels. -

End of Nov was when I called and ordered them. They came in 2 weeks ago. -
Fresh from the land down under! Size 12 shoe there for comparison.... HUGE thanks to Berry K. at http://www.packracingproducts.com for shipping these from Australia for me! He has the 15x6's in stock for the older subies...but he can order 15x7's or 15x8's...you just ahve to wait for them to sit on a boat for a while. But mine are here now!

Lets see...i just gave a special little EJ22E a little upgrade... EJ257 (USDM STi) Oil pump (WAY increased volume and pressure delivery) EJ257 Waterpump (to allow for oil cooler setup) EJ257 Oil-Water cooler assembly And it'll be on Motul 5w30 fully synthetic oil (ya know, that WRC proven oil that SUBARU uses in its WRC car) from now on..... I'm pretty sure that road course action will NOT be an issue now.
-
That'd be them.
-
evo injectors are pink....like the STi 'pinks' that are top feed injectors are pink
-
set of valves, cam gears and some other misc WRX head parts came in this morning....later today some useful nuts and bolts will come in so I can put the block on a stand. tonight..I'll get the camera out and take some pics.
-
well....................... I bet so. I'll look at the FSM's when I get time.
-
Now we die.
-
Well now...I cant find my camera.... AND...NONE of the early SOHC or DOHC intake manifolds will bolt up to the heads. the ports and bolt patten is alot bigger than the other stuff...that means I will need a turbo specific DOHC intake manifold.
-
the weight gain is a non issue...I imagine the gain is under 30lbs. No suspension changes to be made. on a side note....all the EJ parts are here... all the EA82 parts are with JWX now.
-
Still gathering parts....should be able to start assembling near the end of the week. Pics to come when I get everything at my place.
-
Things maybe looking up finally.

so you found an EJ engine for it? did you happen to get the MPFI-NA heads? -
I now have the intake manifold and throttlebody in my possesion...a complete EJ22E engine that runs that I'll use for misc parts...an EJ205 shortblock for parts, and anoter EJ22E longblock thats for parts as well. Next...pickup the STi block I am going to use, the other EJ205 for parts...the 04 WRX transmission, and bring the engine hoist/stand home and I'll be ready to start building!
