  1. thanks yeah, i gave it to JWX. its...on...soemthing that he has. lol
  2. what link? read the thread. There's links on the thread.
  3. I just ordered my set of 15x8's with -4mm offset last week. They will arrive sometime in December(special order from Austrailia). For those of you who want the 15x6's, Barry has them IN STOCK at his warehouse in Arizona... I will be running 225/50/15 Khumo race rubber on these rims...hence the need for the 8" width.
  4. exh works but intake manifold does not.
  5. Those alloys will make a return.... The graphic was originally the "Spec C Type RA, Keep Attacking the Nurburgring" decal....but, its not a spec c or type R (cut off the A since RA is sedan, R is coupe/2 door)...i took that off and just left "the Nurburging" part and the track there. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Spec-C-decal-sticker-Impreza-WRX-Type-RA-Nurburgring_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ50448QQitemZ8011094526QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW The Nordschleife (the bigger section, the odl section nolonger used by the FIA) is the ULTIMATE track. The little section off in the lower left side is the new Nurburgring...sometimes a part of the Nordschleife...but most of the time not. http://nurburgring.de/?lang=eng
  6. Time for more pics! Its back to stock springs/struts...from a 2WD sedan. I like the 1" more height in the rear from the 2WD rear stuff.
  7. what? I've got a .82 A/R I could install....that'd be sw333333333333t....lol basically....you need to set a budget on the car....THEN, we can go thru a list of what you can do to the car. Otherwise, just like any WRX or STi...sky is the limit. Power Reliability Cost Pick TWO. I have gone for cost and reliability...most of the time....i tried to mix power in and made decent power but reliability was iffy...eventho I never suffered any kind of failure...decent power being 165hp/225tq at the wheels. (~240/320 crank) Right now, mysetup: TechWorks Engineering EA82T Header and Downpipe for the stock turbo (header fits ANY IHI/Mitsu turbo deisned as bolt on upgrades for WRX-STi, DP is specific for the stock VF7 only) A custom intake featuring JDM Straws. Toyota Celica ST-165 Air-Water Intercooler unit. STOCK boost. 2.5" from the downpipe back w/no cat and just a large resonator. Sounds great. It puts down 130hp/130tq at stock boost in the cold weather. Normally its ~115/140. (dunno why the TQ varies w/temp as compared to the HP) Right now the real weakpoints for these engines are the headgaskets and lack of fuel to run more than 11PSI of boost safely for long ammounts of time. any more than 12 psi results in a lean condition which means BOOM goes the headgasket...or a hole in the piston....I've NEVER had piston issues....but I've ran into headgasket problems.....ever since I've been careful about the boost and not letting it run lean...ive not had any problems. Once you can get the right amount of fuel in per boost...and no detonation on good gas...I think the headgaskets are fine as long as the rest of the engine is in a really good state of operation....the cooling system is MOST important. Right now I am in the process of talking to SOA to try and convince SOJ to make the mulitlayer metal headgaskets for the EA82 and ER27...as they already make them for ALL of the EJxxx/EG33D/EZ30x engines... I am waiting to hear back from ARP about head studs....the stockers wont hold more than about 85~95 ft-lbs before breaking/stripping the block...and we should really run 105 on a stud that doesnt stretch on the stock gasket so it'll hold above 19 psi....so far no luck. The EJxxx ARP set is WAY too long even for the long bolts...and the EVO studs are 1/2 inch too short for even the short bolts. Otherwise, the first place to start for power is a conefilter on the MAF, catless exhaust and no muffler. Even with the stock DP w/out cat...and a 2.25~2.5 inch off the stock DP, the car makes good power over stock. an intercooler is a MUST....a good one has 30tq gain over stock...no HP until you add bost. Again, DO NOT go over 11 psi unless you add more fuel with larger injectors or an extra one.
  8. if shotened, no threads. Cannot make threads...bolt body is too small.
  9. no word back from ARP... however...got some EJ studs... they are too long....WAY too long.
  10. with the header/ic/tbe even at stock boost we were getting 90%+ duty cycle at redline.
  11. exactly...thats what I need the pinout of the 4pin TPS so i can figure out which ones are which...
  12. I am corrected...there *ARE* reman VDC transmissions. They are very specific to a certin production range tho...unlike the normal 4EAT transmissions.
  13. Well, ECU is WRX for 3 pin..engine is WRX with 3 pin....wiring is all being done thru the stock RS harness...including the engine harness since 80% of the harness plugged right up...the TPS is what I need to rewire...take the 4 pin connector and -1 wire so I can wire on the 3 pin TPS connector.
  14. Last I checked the VDC (ALL 2000~2004 H6 3.0 LegacyOutback) trans are NOT avalible as a reman...ONLY avalible as new...last time we had to get one, it was from another dealer that just *happened* to have one...otherwise, SUBARU was waiting on some from JDM land... I'll double check tonight if there is a reman...but, again, IIRC, there was no reman avalible for the VDC yet..only new. Plus, reman trans are rebuilt in the USA and NOT in JAPAN....SUBARU builds up a core amount, then rebuilds...thats why there is a core charge if you dont return the trans...or other reman part.
  15. We've got a 2000 EJ22E Impreza L AWD sedan in the shop...i has a cable clutch. i think only the turbo and EJ25x subies got the hyd. clutch.
  16. Hey guys... i have all of the FSM wiring diagrams and diagnostics etc etc here infront of me...but NONE of them tell me what EACH pin does on the 4-pin TPS on this 2.5 RS. Ive searched...nothing. THere are some links to pics that legacy777 has but they are '404 not found' status... does anyone know what each wire does on the 4 wire TPS? Reason needed...2002/2003 WRX has a 3 wire TPS...RS has 4 wire tps...I am making a hybrid 'adapter harness' and I need to wire in the WRX TPS to the RS harness. any help would be greatly appreciated.
  17. bizzzump...as I was looking into ordering some 15x8's for this up comming season...
  18. I think I'm just going to bypass it and go with the 15x8 superlites.
