  4. damnit...you guys ruined my fun. :-p USDM WRX with EJ257 shortblock and a GT30R on it...Ecutek reflash.
  5. Does NOT correspond with 1986 spec GL-10 wiring. *searches more*
  6. I got bored, and I did this: anyone want to guess what I did to get that kind of power?
  7. the shaft is held in the CV inner cage by a circlip...need to use a hammer to beat the CV assy off the shaft. In car its difficult. Out of the car its cake. I have done both.
  8. I would have to say YES....but, i cannt officially...as the boxer4racing/continental/SOA SE Region 2.5 RS looked better. However, I payed more attention to it tho.... Link to the RS!
  9. ...Tire Rack SCCA Solo2 National Championship event in Topeka, Kansas this last week. It was certinly NOT slow...it ran in STX with the WRX's... I have pics....will post them as soon as I get home. (XT6, red, 5spd, FT4WD...suspension bits, intake, catback...etc...)
  10. Skip has a lathe and can turn the flywheels down to any specs....BUT....18lbs is the lightest you can safely get one. you will have to go to an aftermarket company to get one lighter...and most likely, no one is going to make one. thats why I will likely get a Fidanza 9lb flywheel for Impreza and make it fit the EA82.
  11. I installed the deltas in a DL SPFI wagon with a 3AT...2wd. it really made no difference to the bottom end...midrage was a teeny better...but mostly the top end was opened up really well...aka power PAST 5500 rpms.
  12. anyone have the fully extended/fully compressed length of the rear 4wd shock off an Gen3 Leone A10 or A11? 2wd will work as well. NO XT shocks please! thanks
  13. whatever guys............ either way, it will be the fastest EA82 powered RX on the face of the planet.
  14. negative. To outrun an STi with my RX with nearly equal drivers....thats when it will be ultimate.
  15. in the next month...a full MS+EDIS system is going to be installed along with a really well engineered Air to Water Intercooler setup...I have 2 sets of hooisers...and a set of Khumos....so...3 sets of race tires. Right now the car is doing well...getting 32.5+ MPG on the hwy, 24 city...making decent power for not having an IC...and the suspension is tuned in for the rest of the year. SuperPros installed...rideheights set, etc etc.... The car is just plain fast right now....and its only going to get faster. I'll do base dyno pulls before MSDIS...and after along with a MAP posted up for you guys....then I'll be making some 1/4 mile passes. This winter Koni will be making some dampers for this thing and I'll step up the spring rates from 6.5k/7k to 10k/12k. Then...13x9 Diamond wheels. Right now...Im in Topeka for Nationals...and bored to death in the hotel. Tuesday/wednesday I'll be in the STS 2.5 RS.
  16. since its underweght for SM anyhow....time to PM someone...
  17. ive always removed the inner door pannel and undone the clips from that way. thats the way to do it so you dont break the clips.
  18. for you guys who rallycross alot.... my RX is rather low, its got about 2.5 inches of clearance a the rear diff, and about 4~5 everywhere else. im wondering if that'll survive the 'average' rallyx course.........seeing as ive never done it before, i really dont know.
  19. so the heads are stripped off? well....you could weld a nut onto the heads and get them out that way... ive got a one whose head snapped off, and the rest of it is still in the came. Still wondering on that one since the engine is in the car.
  20. SUBARU made (and its still avalible) a special socket to re-TQ those bolts. I have had all of my OE SUBARU HG equipped EA82s go 20,000+ miles before something happened that required any engine work....24k my 9.5:1 compression engine went, and it was not the HG that went, it was the rings. the last RX engine went 20k before the head cracked, not the HG....replaced that head and its still going strong. this current one has gone 700 miles so far.... I question the re-TQ....and what if I go to re-TQ and the bolts strip the block? then I am w/out anything to drive.
