  1. sounds like a partially blown headgasket...not bad enough to overheat right away...but it will if more time passes...you need to do a compression test ASAP...like...NOW.
  2. http://www.rs-autosport.com/
  3. No no no....THIS is going to be the 2006 Impreza line...well, atleast, the ZTi...thats above the STi obviously...
  4. the fulltime Dual Range trans had 1.196 reduction...normal D/R are 1.5xx something. FT4WD was avalible as an otpion 87~89...and up until the end of the production in 1994, but are RARE. FT4WD Dual range was only in the RX's, 87~89.
  5. damn...my RX should have run in the high 13's then. nice numbers!
  6. scrapped? No...i seen it in person about 8 months ago...its alive and strong in....*gasp*...a warehouse near me. I have all that secret info. muhahahaha
  7. had one do that on my RX...the wheel bearing was bad on that side as well...didnt hear the noises of the bearing until 5k miles later.
  8. You need to install a high efficiency 2 row radiator and a fresh OE Factory SUBARU thermostat and gasket. that will solve any and all cooling issues unless there are leaks/blockages in the system.
  9. in theory...yes. But I am ditching all the stock EMS for something else that is fully 100% tunable.
  10. sounds like what we are working on here at Top Speed...
  11. a roots style....so my power band looks like this: _____________________________ instead of the usual cammel hump like most turbo setups do.
  12. Update: We are getting them thru Top Speed now. I will have an ETA shortly.
  13. subie engines are the best in the world. PERIOD.
  14. because Mid-Rear is the setup of choice. NOT...F-AWD longitudal is best. But...if you notice, all the worlds greatest sports cars and race cars are mid-rear.
  15. ok, so roots style SC, and im going to hack into an intake manifold, either and spyder or normal one, and make the SC part of the intake manifold.
  16. you can get the 20 over OE SUBARU ones. i think any piston mfg can make 20 over pistons for us....seeing as how all the EJ20's use the same bore.
  17. Exactly....I'm codriving with a girl this week end, the one after, and this past one....she's quite good.
  18. I will be going with full engine management. Dont know what I am going to do with the bottom end...I've proven that the stock EA82T bottom end can handle 300+ ft-lbs of TQ. I am going to get some Cometic head gaskets and ARP head studs to prevent head gasket failure every 10k~20k miles. At this point...two 'quickie' options i am thinking of...using the stock EA82T bottom end and putting 10~12 psi to it....or the stock EA82 NA bottom end and run 8~10 psi to it. I ran a stock NA one with a stock EA82 turbo setup on one for 24k miles. Rings gave up at that point.
