EGR Solenoid valve broken....
I have had a thought about these things. These things are just a solenoid valve simple two wire hook up right? Why wouldn't another valve from another make of car not work. It would be important to know if the valve was normally open or normaly closed; and the coil resistance would be important so as not to set the computer off. Does this sound right? or have I missed something?

How to un-freese axles
could you cut one of the CV boots and then pull the retaining clip inside of the CV joint, then slide the end of the axle out?

How to get above surface paint off?
those marking paints are usually lacquer based. Lacquer thinner may work, BUT it may also take off the underlying paint. Original factory paint is usually immune to lacquer thinner though. Might try it on an area that does not show first.

Pollock Pines California
I would be surprised if you can get through. Mormon Emigrant Trail is not plowed. There has been lots of snow. I live at about the same elevation as Jenkinson's lake and up until yesterday I had to chain up just to get out of the driveway.

bondo rubberized under coating - wheel wells
I use it all the time as a rust preventative to cover welding I have done. I do not think it offers much in the way of sound control. the thickness is not very much.

there is a tapered washer behind the axle nut. the washer should be wider to the outside of the vehicle, narrower to the center.

the motor is in the center post (by the front seat hinge) down near the floor. remove the lower trim and you will see the motor. simply disconnect the plug.

Hey Redskin sounds like a fun ride. Don't know bout the body flex cure, but will trade you a brat sticker for a brumby sticker. I assume you are speaking of the aprx. 4 inch square one on the tailgate. This is the one I would trade: http://willsmith.dtdns.net/Pictures/Current%20Project/photos/photo_3.html

wiper assembly problem
Will Smith replied to vman's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXthe wiper motor has a ball joint attachment to the linkage, sometimes the joint pops apart. you should be able to unbolt the motor pull it out and see if the link rod assmy has broken or become slipped from its joint.

Trans / (differential?) Bearing help needed
I tightened it up until it was left with just a little movement, as the bearing warmed up the slack went away. these are tapered bearings, some of you may only need to tighten the retainer and not replace the bearing. Does anyone know how much to re-tighten the retainer? Is there a preload spec etc.? It has to matter, to prevent premature bearing/gear wear. Thankyou, Keith

what year engine (parts compatibility problem)
nice looking Brat. take your old rotor into the parts store and have them match it up. the parts folks should be able to find the cap and exhaust gaskets from the application crossover.
