Ascending to hatchdom......and fun with little issues
This carb was on the engine when I installed it. its from a non feedback 85 BRAT. I would assume that if it ran there it would run here (I saw a video too). choke is getting .6v. my battery was low, which is a similar sypmtom to Skylar's maxima alt swap. would the existence/influence of the california ecu mess anything up?

Ascending to hatchdom......and fun with little issues
caliper got replaced again. got the correct correct one this time. dropped in the new webered engine today. wondering if my feedback model car is giving it fits for some reason. I was unable to use the harness supplied with the engine (85 brat) in my 87 hatchy, so i used mine. It idles high and dies. also has a 65 secondary jet, which Ive been told is too big. throttle response is slow to die off (i.e blip throttle and it swings up before coming back down) I saw a viseo of this engine and this exhaust running in the PO's BRAT and it seemed fine then...what gives?

96 legacy gremlins
My friend has a 96 lego wagon AT, with the following symptoms. NSS was replaced once already, and I have yet to see the car. This cant be the first time this has happened. searching was unfruitful so Im trying the direct approach: Check engine light flashing, says it's the neutral safety switch (which is replaced with a new one) but car randomly dies and it will fire back up and die again a few miles down the road

update by absolutely no demand: bad news first: shes been down for a week or so due to a pooped passenger side caliper (front, no rear discs yet). I have one on the way now. Good news: i got a weber for it today....which came with a nice and clean, refurbed ea81 hydro motor stuck to the bottom of it. now itll haul the mail. who needs brakes? they only slow ya down. Ill actually take pics this time so everyone can see what happens when your engine leaks oil.. from between the block halves on top of it. no 5 speed yet, i traded it off for a ea82 for the wheeler. Im thinkin single range 5 speed would be perfect for this car.

Help, Brat, can I swap the loyal front end over?
hello old thread. I just tried to swap gen3 knuckles onto my gen 2 (87) hatchy, no worky. The tie rod ends are too large in diameter and dont seat. I put it together anyway and we are in a no go, floppy wheel situation. Whats the secret? I know you can put just the knuckles on (but i dont know how)....people claim to have succeeded.

Radio radio radio...
thanks sapper, im running just the head unit currently, no tape player. I did use an aftermarket stereo today with another speaker and ive got tunes. its pretty distorted so maybe ill fiddle with grounding locally. if i press on the speaker its clearer and louder.

Radio radio radio...
ill be camping in it this weekend. perhaps next week, Ski. I know the speakers are good, bit the radio might be cooked. it looks a lil rough. it lights up and tunes to stations which i can hear, but barely. I have to go hand crank my portable am/fm now

Radio radio radio...
Im trying to install a radio from an 88 wagon into my 87 (but gen 2..like a brat) hatchy. Why? because thats what i have and so on.. Ive gotten so far as to get the radio to turn on (blue wire radio to blue/yellow hatchy). and even tune to a station, I hooked a speaker up to the green/ greenblack wires and can hear the sounds but its barely audible. Ive messed with all the settings on the radio and now Im stuck. It would be nice to be able to listen to NPR on the weekends while driving around without having to recharge a portable radio. Someone help me before I end up catching it on fire

FWD EA81 5 lug conversion in rear.
if you get parts from an awd make sure to get the outer axle stubs so you can use them to hold your stuff together. might have to het the trailing arms too. easier to get fwd stuff, but im not sure xt6s came in fwd flavor
