  1. the quick lube place said they would not do it :-\, since it was a subaru
  2. like northwet said a/t are ok, my wife driver a 88 full time 4wd turbo wagon , 22-23 mpg city , running ac , 4speed a/t
  3. it is a a/t turbo full time 4wd wagon, 106,000mi , shifts good, my question is should i service the tranny and change out the fluid ? or just not do it ? because i was told it could harm it than help it ,thanks
  4. yes your right , been a long day ,heat must be getting to me
  5. but there is still no spark , would a broken drivers side timing belt cause no spark , i changed the coil to oem , both miles and i put new timing belts on 25,000mi ago
  6. if i remember i had to change the clutch fan from what was on there and put on a clutch fan from a xt , one extra blade and fits alot better
  7. royale purple or amsoil , running these change every 12,000mi ,change filter every 6,000mi
  8. so for a 122 bucks you are getting a 2 row radiator ? what is shipping charge? so this should fit my 88 turbo a/t wagon ?
  9. just like title says, only after 9,000mi , DO NOT BUY
  10. yes it has been changed over from r-12 to r-134 , if it is freezing up then why after you let it set over night and turn on the ac it does not blow cold air?+ when i put a gauge on it ,it reads low
  11. when are you going to indiana ? maybe tom+ alleyboy can meet here and you can come down here
  12. on my wife's 88 turbo full time 4wd a/t wagon, she says a white fog comes out the vents and then shortly after the ac will not blow cold air, twice now i have added , is there a easy fix ? it is r-134
  13. there is a coolant line [passanger side along with oil line ] that goes from steel line to rubber hose ,underneith the turbo , this could need replacing ,mine did
  14. good luck at mine, they had my ball joints + wheel bearing seals in stock ,on a sunday , but it is 15 miles away
  15. here is my opinion , i run amsoil in my 88 5sp d/r wagon 189,000mi , 5-10 lbs more oil pressure , + have only added 1 qt at 5,000mi , i am going to change the filter at 6,000mi and change the oil at 12,000mi , i am thinking about using royale purple in my 88 TURBO a/t full time 4wd wagon , you can go longer between oil changes
  16. ok, it will be loud , i did it to a fwd wagon , temp gauge was cooler, mpg went up , noticed some hp gain , thanks
  17. a few weeks ago there was a board member , saying he could get a y-pipe made with 02 drilled in , just woundering how it turned out + cost + can you get anymore made ? what about the loud noise ? any major benfits ? hp,mpg, temp,
  18. mine also comes on , 88 turbo a/t full time 4wd wagon , but running 75mph + temp gauge 3/4 way up , hows your radiator ? or tranny fluid ? tranny flush, or radiator going bad
  19. now i did put very little into my riding mower , 2 gal tank ,and yes it did run better ,
  20. a few times i have gotton oil onto the exhaust after changing the oil, if it is 4wd i always remove the skid plate first , quick lube places may not , munch easier to get to drain plug + less messy
  21. this may not mean anything ,but what weight of oil are you using ? if your using a light weight oil it may leak more , i have found this out
  22. i have tried it ,no mpg gain ,but increase in hp on my 88 5sp , and did ask a chemist and he said the long term may damage the seals around the injectors ,but the same thing is put into fuel injector cleaner , 1 time a year is ok,
  23. pretty far for me to go after it , all the way across the state of indiana
