  1. well i was using synthetic. as mentioned earlier in the thread. 5w40. but i bought this car with 125k miles on it. I even ran a few oil changes with sea foam in them-now what came out was nasty! the crank is clean as a whistle.
  2. but why do people here like to say if it overheats then the head gasket will surely blow. by the way splitting the case was a ***************. i had no idea it was that stuck together. sorry that room has some very poor lighting
  3. well the problem looks like the oil control rings on 3 pistons were seized. But i still didnt take the heads apart because i lost my spring compressor. the crank looks excellent but for where the rear seal ate into it theres quite a gouge. the rear seal was flexible and soft and the front one was crispy and brittle. very odd.
  4. the red dust is the internal bump stop rotting.
  5. ok ok all i wanted to know is what the bolt pattern was on the ones i linked. .

  7. on a uni-body car like these you would want to use a plate where it mounts to the body to spread the load. other than that its whatever fits best.
  8. your engine isnt turbo i cant imagine it needs more fuel than the stock filter provides?
  9. maybe your engine was shot like mine. a good healthy engine makes very little blow by. after i rebuilt my jeeps engine the diffrence was huge.
  10. am i allowed to show that here? some forums are anal about things like that.
  11. try to go for less miles and a non rusty body. rust is one huge pain to try and fix on any car.
  12. mine was doing that too i think the rear main made that happen. its hard to say with my pos engine.
  13. sure beats carquest's prices but i didnt get any other references
  14. tell her she doesnt know what shes missing out on!
  15. you always have the option of installing a rollcage to help make the car safer. I plan on installing one in my jeep, as I have seen that the roof collapses in a rollover.
  16. what do those turbo neons run when driven right? I know that they arent that fast because my jeep has no problems beating them.
  17. bracket racing? whats your timeslip?
  18. thats nice id leave it as it is. well actually id get better wheels those are too ugly. really everyone should detail thier cars like that they look so mutch better.
