    yeah ac sucks up power, if you look at the jeep in my sig, huge torquey engine, gets 3 mpg less with it on, and you can feel the power diffrence in it too.

    ive done many installs and dont see a reason why to stick with oem. aftermarket condensors in some cases are the same supplier subaru uses, or often an improved design. seals, i have had failures in both.

    its too bad you couldnt swap in a used turbo engine, because thats just where turbo engines shine, is high alitiudes. you could install a more free flowing tuned exhaust, but its not going to be a huge diffrence. cams, well that depends entirely on the grind.

    the wheel bearings go bad pretty often in these. id replace the cv joint thats contaimated. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=36189 maybe you can get one through them?

    yeah, the choke should open. it should barely run with it closed and the engine is warm. you shouldnt have too mutch trouble tracing the lines that run from the choke?

    thats pretty clean.

    could be one of 2 things bad ignition timing bad cam timing id make sure the distrubitor is not 180 out (exhaust stroke) and make sure the timing belt is right

    it actually doesnt look like a lot of bodywork. but it does look better now.

    if you want more power you can do it the old fashioned way and do a valve job, air filter, the stock exhaust is full of 1.5" restrictions... synthetics, lighter flywheel, alloy wheels (mutch lighter)

    ive been calling everywhere and theres no off the shelf stud that would fit. really sucks. count me in for a set if they are good in price.

    omg your engine bay is so clean. the gasket problem-I made my own with gasket paper. I did most of my work on the exhaust side. too bad mines just a spfi

    naa beds too small on the crew cab. but the trucks in the pics are very tempting.
