http://www.subaru.co.jp/index.html Looks like Subaru has updated their site to include the MY06 Impreza. Tons of pictures and information on the site. I'll throw out some of the most interesting stuff. It looks like they are changing the DCCD quite a bit. It looks like they are going to be using a torsen mechanical center differential instead of the current model's electromechanical LSD. Torque split has been evened to roughly 41F/49R from the current 35F/65R. There is also a new sensor that measures the inputs from the steering wheel. The JDM EJ20 is now making 310 ft-lbs of torque. Short Movie http://www.subaru.co.jp/impreza/spe...special_1m.html Engine Specs Factory Dyno (Remember this is from the EJ20) New Kenwood HU with slightly updated JDM seats. Undercarriage (doubt we'll see this type of armor though) Rear wing with aerodynamics illustration New V-Limited Lip with aftermarket rims

on my non turbo heads there wasnt really any areas that really needed lots of materail removal. the worst part being the exhaust where it transitions to a cylinder. the intake side all there was really was bowl work, and the exhaust bowl area, to gain flow id have to add materail not remove it. the casting is quite odd under the valve seats there.

like heres another problem i had, another case where EFI just is easier QUOTE engine is a 357 ci. sbc, 0 deck height, flat tops with 2 valve reliefs, 76cc heads flat milled about .030. Last week I had a lean problem but fixed that by making sure the throttle plates in the 4 outer secondary carbs shut tight. I also plugged the idle mixture ports. I also installed 58 jets in the 2 primary carbs. When I take it for a ride everytime I push in the clutch to slow down it loads up and dies. i have to keep cleaning(reving) it out. I have the reg set at 2.5 lbs. What size jets are you guys running in the center carbs? Here's some pics

Rear Swing Gate Allied Armament
erik litchy replied to Shadyirishmen's topic in Products for your Subaru
thats sweet looking. does the rear plate need to be relocated? from that angle its hard to tell. -
heads shoule be the same in that regard. im the opposite, carbs baffle me, efi is easier for me becasue the computer gives clues as to whats wrong. like i have a snowblower. the carb in it completly baffles me. i can shut the throttle vane all the way, screw in the idle fuel screw in all the way and it will still run rich (but very slowly). plus they dont work off road on steep inclines too. i really hate computer controlled carbs. Ive never had one make more power with the computer intact. i dont like the idea of a gas toilet sitting on my engine.

why did it had to close completly? oh well. how hot is it there?

erik litchy replied to SuBrat84's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
things that help mileage hot weather slightly advanced timing clean air filter maybe put the tailgate down? new plugs, wires. rotor and cap of course assuming the carb is on great shape. edit adjust the valve lash, use new gaskets, why would you hesitate to do this? -
