  1. Darn it! I was thinking it was as simple as pressing a button somewhere on the back of the cluster...didn't the old Subie digital dashs have that option?
  2. JC Sports will not help you at all, so you are out of luck. Sorry to hear of your misfortune, I hope you figure something out Kevin
  3. I have a 2001 Legacy and I was curious to know if there was a way to change the therometer to °C from °F. I have no good reason for doing this. If my odometer changes to kilometers, so be it, but I would really like my temp to be in °C for reasons unknown to me at this time. Thanks for entertaining my thoughts, Kevin
  4. When did I say I was there, in June? I got stopped by Border Patrol on the way home as well. From what I hear, it is the norm on a Sunday afternoon. Glad to hear you guys had a fun time, I needed to keep it closer to home unfortunately. Kevin
  5. RallyKeith, see you there then! I have a grayishgreen Legacy Wagon with steelies, Hella 500's, and a Thule rack. If you see me, say hi or leave a note operose: the black river stages rally might be held next year if there is enough interest. It is much closer to you, and I will be there if it is held. I went to school in Wanakena (just outside of star lake) so I will camp out....probably about a 45 minute drive west on rt3 from star lake in Harrisville And for anyone else, the RallyRPI rally-x was a really really REALLY nice course. I went and watched, and I will probably run in the next one (maybe). I will be there to watch at least, lol
  6. The September 17th RallySprint has been cancelled, however, the International RallyNY is still on schedule...60ish cars should make it interesting
  7. I've been getting 25-26 mixed and 29 hwy with an 01 Legacy L wagon and I am very happy with that. I just filled up yesterday and I am trying to stick with the factory shift speeds as per the owners manual...I wonder if it will make a difference at all :-\ Kevin
  8. You will definately find this thread of interest...it sounds exactly like your problem, and it describes how to fix it. Good luck Kevin
  9. Rally RPI is this weekend in Satatoga, NY. Follow link below for info on this and other rally stuff happening in the next few weeks! (And there is a ton!) http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?p=337867#post337867
  10. Here is a picture of it when I first got it. I know silver wheels would look fine, but I am just really unsure of gold. The two sets of rims I am looking at are 2003 WRX rims and 98 RS golds. Thanks, have a great day everyone! Kevin
  11. Car is going great...I have put almost 5,000 miles on it so far and personalized it quite a bit. Just a quick question for everyone though.... I know the picture isn't working, but I will fix that later The color is a very gray/green but not the lighter green that is on so many outbacks. If you can picture that, how do you think 98 RS Golds would look on it? Personally, I know it would look different, but most definately not as horrid as say a Pontiac Aztek:brow: Picture to follow later, thanks! Kevin
  12. I just read an 11 page thread on nabisco this last night, and was going to post here on the USMB to ask if anyone had done it. Cool stuff:)
  13. How many miles? Is the check engine light on? Do you have any idea on the condition of your clutch? How long has this been happening? It would seem that MAYBE your clutch could be on its way out.
  14. From what I have heard, Borla headers and skidplates (Primitive, Rumblesoft, SSi) don't work together. Your results may varry, ask the manufactuers...this is something they should know. Good luck! Kevin
  15. The RallySprint was fun!! There is another one on September 17th at the same venue. Check the above link for details.
  16. Quick question. Do you have a "manual" button and a "snow hold" button on the shifter, or is the US button simply called "snow hold" in Australia? Neat either way. Take care, Kevin
  17. I would say go check it out and if you like it, go for it. It really isn't all that bad of a price. This message board represents such a small percentage of 2.5L engine owners. Usually, people only come to the board to ask if their symptoms are HG related, but you RARELY hear someone praising their 150,000 mile subaru....but come on, we know there are a ton of high mileage Outbacks out there that have little to no problems. That being said, my bosses 99 Outback had the HG go at 205,000. Good luck, and enjoy the hunt! Kevin
  18. I have two head units that would fit your application...both are AM/FM/Tape and they work fine. No weather band. One is from a 2001 Legacy L and another is from a 2001 Impreza 2.5RS. Personally, I like the RS one better for some reason, but they are both interchangable with your model. Installation is a breeze by the way...plug and play. Throw me whatever you feel is reasonable and pay $5 for shipping and you can have either one. PM me if you are interested. Kevin
  19. August 27th - Rally New York Rallysprint in Narrowsburg, NY. See this for more information. September 10th - RallyRPI will be holding their inaugural Rally-X event in Saratoga, NY. See this thread from nabisco for more information or visit the event website. The more people, the better. I may run this one, may not. It will be a last minute decision.... September 29th - October 1st - the International Rally New York 2005 will be taking place in Monticello, NY. I went to the Rally NY back in April and it was definately fun! See this page for more information. I already took time off from work to go to this one, so see you there Kevin
