shortysayhi replied to TheLoyale's topic in Non Soob Cars and Bikes Discussion

So I've been looking around this forum and I'm super confused. On a ej transmission what spline count would a 5mt be? What spline count is a 79 brat manual? What spline count is a newer 6 speed? Also my friend is contacting some of his machinist buddy's to see if they would re drill the hubs to 5x100 rather than doing the whole 5 lug swap. Which would mean I can run better bigger brakes with out the major mods.

How much should I pay for an 88 Justy?
shortysayhi replied to bluebonnet81's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I bought one for 900 and it needs some little work. I would say no it's not over priced. But is it 2wd or 4wd. 4 door vs 2 etc. -
Ive been looking around and this seems like it would work. waiting on some confirmations about it. But this is #1 on my fmic list. its 4 inches think tho..

Well i do have this that I'm going to put on, so just fab up a plate type thing like that skid plate! Also how much room should the IC cover the radiator if i do have to have some over lap?

If you go there be careful the engine/crossmember isn't connected to the frame anymore. i had to take the bolts out to get the bumper bar off (i took the bolts too) Also whats your ideas?!

There was a brat at the Denver Junkyard (off I76) and i grabbed the doors, and roll bars etc. The fenders were pretty good at the pull and pay my old doors i have no use for besides spares so I'm contemplating on what to do with them.

Im just thinking. i live at 8700 and i always drive up to go snowboarding (every weekend and more) so that was my only concern.

Ea82 dash clock ipod upgrade! Now with pics!!!!

New seals won't really do a thing. You'd have to dyno mat the whole trunk area. which is expensive! -
Alright, i am pretty sure I'm going to get someone else to do the harness for me. I don't trust my self enough! hahaa. But I've also been looking at which would be better, a FRONT mount intercooler or a Top mount? i know theres fab work in both, but is one "better" then the other? Would having a FMIC be bad in the winter because of snow?

Way to get a sub to work on the stock stereo. and Yes your wires are definitely enough for a 200 watt amp. I have a 300 watt amp running power wire smaller then your power cord haha! but Congrats and great build/ ideas! -
If you take out the cats, you gain some boost with out messing with the engine.

Thanks! My dads got all his toys in the garage... so I'm forced out side.. Into the wilderness! Thanks! Last night i got this! still trying to locate a ej22t diagram... this looks like its going to be a MAJOR pain

So dove deep into labeling everything on my brat harness (its super difficult when none of the connections were attached when i bought it. Also starting on my ej harness. I could use some ideas on what trans to get, I'm using a ej trans just not sure whats best legacy, outback legacy, impreza, wrx etc (5 speed is mandatory) Also is running hub adapters really bad for a "street" car? (I'm contemplating them instead of doing a full blown 5 lug swap. (since its so expensive and parts are hard to come by)

Got the doors on and glass isn't damaged! Also put a different tail gate on and started to make it fit closed. One tail light is also on, door cards back on, picking up my harness and ecu tomorrow. Got some helpful info about splice/ soldering the harnesses together from Prwa101.
