Piston slap is running to smooth for bad rod take out #4 #2 pistons knurll them and put them back in sound will be gone. But realy start with pulling the oil fillter and dumping it out into a pan tant you can see if any meatal or berring materail in the oil. Have heard worse piston slap than that always #2/4 that slap have you treid pulling the wire of on that cly and see if noise stops when not firing ?also a oil preshure check helps min 10 psi hot at idle. And oil light should go out in under 1 second cold start

suck on the bottom line of egr transducer and see if holds vacume if not replace it

power feeds at fuse box or fusabble links loose ground on intake maf senser

I have done about 60 very commen problem

odb1 and has no green conector just multi conector with small jumper pins is a odd car 96 but no obd2 nowere to plug in scaner. Cant figure out how to get codes

ok heres what you do roll the window down all the way take a light and look down to the lach on one side will be the lever to relase door other side is the lock. The outside door handle lever that gos to latch sticks down pull it up or mauanly push over the latch to right i use a 2ft long snapon flat screwdriver for this and patence

I have biult a cupple i use the 2wd legacy case with ea82 pushbutton guts in it works well should be same as what you want to do but dobut you could use the wrx awd and internals in it

warning have done this caused to mucth load on bar and it broke they dont like to work well clocked like that broke two in a row

Has anyone tried adding a enrichment gasoline injector to a propane setup to add extra feul under load or boost can this be done. Like i do with my nos setup adding extra feul at same time as nos thru one commen injector

I have at least 4 of those trannys all good just sitting around have no cars for them
