  1. Yep they do good work if I ever needed a mechanic they are the ones I would use.
  2. Have you checked you boots on your steering rack? Clicking on turns could be a c.v wobble could be caused by that to. I would jack up the front of the car and check c.v for play also check Tyrod ends, ball joints and steering rack.
  3. It sounds to me like he has read into it and just wants advice from people that have done this stuff before. Ease up on him he's just a kid.
  4. It looks like you know where all but two go I would just plug it in and see what happens I don't see how it could hurt they all go to lights

  6. Depending on what kind of driving you do a clutch can last a lot longer than 100k if you take care of it. Defiantly try adjusting the cable first and see what happens
  7. Cracks? Did you have the heads crack checked? That could be the whole issue you may need new heads, but if it is blowing smoke you should have been able to see them.
  8. Does the smoke smell sweat? If not it is probably oil. How many miles on the engine? Did you check the piston tops when you did the heads could be a cracked piston. Check around your air filter for oil. Check your oil see if there is water in it. How did your valve seats look when you replaced the head gaskets. Also could be ATF lol check you gas tank last resort to see if someone didn't pour some ATF in your gas. I know oil smoke is usually gray
  9. I have had this happen before on a 90 legacy l, ended up taking it up to the dealer and they made it so that the fan was on all the time it's still works 50k later. May not be the same but sounds like what was happening to me
  10. No it's not I have messed around with my heater lines a lot because of previous owner
  11. It's been removed then I just assumed it was like the later modles. Glad I found this out, now I know where to get a valve
  12. My 80 gl wagon doesn't have a valve just saying
  13. I don't think Subaru uses a valve I am pretty sure they use a flap over the heater core
  14. I have been driving it without any problems the level stays exactly the same I have been keeping an eye on it
  15. Sorry about this back again had over heating happen again but weird part was it did it coasting into my driveway replaced cheapo cap with a Stant no problems since and have driven a tankful of gas through it and pushed the engine to its limits climbing the hills around here no sighns of even getting hot. I will double check with a block check when I have money but I doubt it was the head gasket
  16. Have you checked your vacuum? make sure it is running at the right psi, I think it's around 15 psi. make sure you don't have a vacuum leak somewhere.
  17. I would check what kind of voltage you are getting at you battery when the car is running, make sure the bearing squeal is the only thing wrong with your alternator Just a thought
